Ski Instructions:

Ski Out: From the garage, walk directly forward to the groomed trail, then proceed down the trail across Middle Rider Road and onto the groomed access below. Follow this trail (labelled with small green signs with “B” on them) down and to the left until you go through the tunnel to the White Otter chair lift. Ride White Otter to the top and cross White Wing to follow signage to the Big Sky Base area.

Ski In: Follow White Otter Access to the rope tow for the Cascade. Take the Cascade Lift to the top and climb the stairs to a groomed trail (labelled with small green sign with “B” and parallels Beehive Basin Road) that will take you back to Middle Rider Road (make a quick left onto “D” trail and 11 Middle Rider will be directly left – the house is very close to the turn so don’t miss it ). Not recommended for snowboarders or young children as the ski in/out are about 10-15 minutes long depending on snow conditions. The home is not ski in/ski out if Cascade lift is not running. Great location with easy ski out. Ski in was ok but had some flat areas required some poling once you exited the cascade 3 lift. Kitchen was fully furnished for cooking. No spices needed. Great layout for multiple families or other children as there was a separate tv room downstairs. I prefer the Cascade houses over the moonlight houses for staying in Big Sky.

So wonderful was the property and Big Sky, we all want to return again next year!PROS:1. the location and space of this beautiful home2. the fully stocked kitchen with All-Clad pots and pans and Henckels knives, and double JennAir ovens (important to us as we cooked in 5 of the 7 nights and made breakfast and lunch everyday)3. Enough seating around the kitchen island so the dining room table could be used as a puzzle space4. well stocked with spices and oils and vinegars5. very responsive management company

Great ski house to accommodate two families. Ski out to the skies was easy but ski in was a little bit more challenging because it involved uphill climbs where you had to take off your skis.

The house was beautiful and well equipped with gorgeous views of the mountain. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and the bedrooms very comfortable. My only suggestion would be a set of written instructions in the house on how to ski to the resort and how to ski back.Skiing to the base is accomplished via the residential access trails and the White Otter lift. To ski back to the house requires using the Cascade lift (which opens at 11) and a long, flat trek along Beehive Basin Road. There are maps of the access trails provided at the top of the Cascade lift, which would have been very helpful to have in the house. I hope this helps the next guests.

We had a great time! The house was awesome with all the amenities! The only thing we didn't like was the ski-in/ski-out. It was more work than we anticipated, and the Cascade lift that you use to ski in closed before 3 p.m. every day, even though the resort doesn't close until 4 p.m. The drive to the resort wasn't too far away, and they had free parking with a shuttle, so we were able to ski with no issues. Overall, we had a great time!

The pictures on Vrbo look amazing but it looks even more amazing when step inside the house. The house was perfect in all aspects and had everything we needed for a group of 8 of us. The ski on was awesome and just a short walk to an actual trail that will take you to the base of the mountain, was very cool to ride through the trees with houses around us. We got a lot of snow during our stay so make sure you have all wheel drive cause the driveway is uphill

Wonderful property. Is very much ski out. Ski in is harder and takes time so leave early. But either way worth jr for the view and amazing house

The property is beautiful and in a great location for proximity to Big Sky. It feels very private and the views were stunning! Our group of 7 adults does like to cook and the kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook in. The beds and living room/lounge areas were very comfortable with more than enough space for all of us. The home is advertiser as ski/ski out which is why we chose it but it does have disclaimer on time of the year. The week we were in Big Sky got into the 40s for multiple days with no snow and very little on the ground (base at mountain was 25 inches) so while the ski out was possible (albeit icy), the ski in wasn’t doable because of rocks and not enough snow cover on the trails. However, we found driving to Big Sky and parking in the commuter lot (group of 3 or more), very easy - it’s a 5 min drive. Most of the locals we spoke to said these were highly unusual conditions for end of January and not something the property owners can control! One thing that would make the property even better would be some benches in the garage to put boots and gear on along with a better ski/snowboard rack. It’s a wonderful property and would come back for another Big Sky vacation!

The house was amazing! Very clean and had everything we needed! Only part that wasn’t perfect was the Ski in to the mountain wasn’t bad but the ski out back to the house was very difficult. Otherwise it was an amazing place and would definitely come back! Thank you!
