Deer Valley, Utah
The Ridgepoint condominiums are located in Silver Lake, Deer Valley Resort’s mid mountain community, and have very convenient access to the slopes. In fact, this complex has it's own ski access trail which leads directly to the Success ski run! At the end of the day it is simple to return to the condo via a quick walk across Royal Street (about 300 yards).
One of the largest condos in Ridgepoint, this "end unit" with approximately 2400 square feet of remodeled living space and enlarged windows, on three levels plus a loft, is spacious and airy. The front bedroom with twin bunks and a twin trundle bed has an HDTV and a large closet space. The middle bedroom has a queen bed, HDTV and a large closet. A bathroom with a sink separated by a door from the tub/shower and toilet is located in the hallway between the middle and front bedrooms.

Hot tub wasn’t on. Check in was a disaster Emergency Line not answered Water damage on ceiling in master Left over property owner gear in closets Kitchen amenities lacking
Home is bigger than it looks and has a great view. The ski in and ski out was doable, particularly great for intermediate skiers. Not sure what it would be like early season before the snow base is there. We enjoyed the layout of the home and had plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. House would have been five stars but the house was in a bit of disrepair. The carpet in the lower level had wet spots throughout, particularly in the master which made the lower level smell like a locker room. Also, the microwave was broken and the dishwasher struggled. Light bulbs need replacing. After a few phone calls, the property managers came out to address what they could, but needs updates after a long ski season. Property managers were friendly.
Unit in good condition, plenty of space for our group.
Home is exactly as pictured, easy ski-in, ski-out access, awesome end unit with lots of light and space
Great place - loved the location and the property; only wish our whole family could have joined us as the place is fantastic for a good size crew. Beds are super comfortable - pool table is awesome touch...oh and the hot tub :) enjoyed the place immensely!
Very well appointed unit. Very comfortable for our group of 4 guys. I would not call this a ski in unit but the ski out was very convenient and easy. Skiing in required a bit of work and hike on streets carrying skis/boards. Hot tub was a bonus and we used it every morning and evening. Overall very nice and we would return.
Beautiful interior and magnificent views. We loved the property.
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice, comfortable condo with great views. Mattress in master bedroom badly needs replaced. Also, only vague instructions were provided as to how to ski from Deer Valley Resort back to condo. I called Alpine and received more detailed verbal directions but we still spent two hours trying to find an unmarked trail and then we gave up and had to Uber back the first day. Only after I asked, Alpine ski properties provided a very helpful video that we used on our second day. Ski route back to condo is not simple! Ski route to the slopes involves two bridges that were icy. While we found our way there OK, would have been nice to have a little warning about what was involved as we were with our children. Disappointed at the initial lack of accurate directions as it caused unnecessary aggravation and a waste of two hours of our vacation.
You heard from the other reviewed about the place, it is very nice, well stocked and very clean. Undoubtedly the highlight is the high end outdoor large hot tub with beautiful views of the snowy forest. Here is what needs improvement: -we arrived late and on a snowstorm. We had to drive to the property management office in mountain roads and a blizzard to get a piece of paper from a lockbox, that had the combination for the house’s front lock. Then drive again on the same roads and try to find the house, without a map, walking on 2 ft of snow. Improvements: send the combination of the lock with a timed email 30’ before check in and don’t torture your guest driving around town. It is 2021. Also, a map with the marked property would be very nice -ski out is relatively easy, even thought they don’t give you a map on how to find the access trail, it is not too difficult. Ski out is a problem: nobody at Deer Valley knew where the access trail was, I had to call the management office and a very nice woman marked the access trail on a map and emailed it to me. Why was this not provided upon check-in? You won’t find the access trail to ski out without a detailed map. You have to take the Homestead lift and then ski back down and turn right. By the time we got the map, the lift closed and the only way to get out the mountain was calling an Uber. Also, FYI, the ski out trail ends in a road, and you will have to walk on the asphalt for about 200 ft until you get back to the property. Aside from these managerial problems that could be easily fixed, the house in great
