Four serene bedrooms, three beautiful baths, and two living areas of pure luxury will be a true treat for 10 guests on a vacation that is relaxing and welcoming. The perfect location - ONLY 60 yards to the Headin' Home Ski Trail. Custom-built to enjoy the best views, you will step inside a space that blends mountain charms with modern conveniences. The upstairs level features the main living space of this beautiful home, offering comfortable and stylish leather furnishings, a Smart TV, and a gas log fireplace that adds romance and warmth in every season of the year. Competing for space and attention, however, are floor-to-ceiling windows that offer unobstructed views of Headin' Home Ski Run just outside. Green and verdant during the summer months, fiery and vibrant in the fall, and covered in a blanket of pure white snow during all the winter and much of the spring, the ever-changing scenery never gets boring. The kitchen is cheerful and inviting AND modern and dramatic at the same time. Striking granite counters, wood cabinets, and gourmet appliances will spark joy in cooking. Four barstools at the kitchen countertop provide overflow seating when the dining room, located just steps away, is full. A one-of-a-kind lamp hangs over the dining room table adding ambiance. The wide-open space allows guests to devour home-cooked meals as they watch the big game on the big screen or take in the breathtaking views.

The first of the four bedrooms is a comfortable and tranquil master suite, anchored by a luxurious king bed and has access to the deck outside. The ensuite bathroom is a modern example of form and function, featuring a large marble vanity with double sinks, a large frameless glass walk-in shower, and a toilet closet. Down the hall is a smaller master suite. Well-appointed with a king-sized bed and an en-suite bathroom equipped with a walk-in shower. The lower level is home to a spacious second living area/game room with a foosball table, sofa and Smart TV with Bose surround sound. Board games can be found tucked away in the cabinet; a fun way for the family to spend the evening or the occasional rainy day. Also on this level are the third and fourth bedrooms. The third bedroom is a queen room, sharing access to a Jack-n-Jill bathroom with the bunk room (fourth bedroom) which has two sets of twin bunk beds. On the other side of the living room are the full-size washer and dryer. Laundry will be a breeze, so no need to go home with dirty clothes. Heading back outside, a sumptuous hot tub bubbles merrily away on the upper-level deck, providing soothing heat to sore muscles and a romance that seems to be the overall ambiance of the entire home! An oversized one-car garage offers spaces to store your skis, your car, and any other items that you don't want cluttering up the main rooms of the home during your stay.

    The place is exactly as advertised. Very comfortable and clean. Hot tub off the deck and hiking/skiing just yards away. Very modern with great attention to detail. We loved staying here and we have owned 2 homes in Angel Fire

    This property is as wonderful as advertised with a fully stocked kitchen and ample living spaces. The kids all slept great in the bunk room and loved the foosball table and hot tub. It is a 20 minute drive up the mountain from the base but if you don’t have to take anyone to ski school then the ski in/ski out is perfect!

    I cannot say enough good things about this home. I’ve been called a “travel snob” … and I do have somewhat high standards, but I truly don’t have a single complaint. Here were our favorite “perks” of this home: The garage had benches for getting ready to go ski, boot warmers, and places to hang skis, coats, etc… it’s TRULY a ski in ski out home. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. There were plenty of towels for bathing, AND hot-tubbing. The floors are heated. Water pressure in the showers was great. The kitchen was spacious with everything you could need to cook anything. (Air fryer, crock pots, Tupperware to store leftovers, etc). We were a group of 7 and cooked there every night. There were plenty of dishwasher pods, laundry pods, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels etc for 7 people/5 nights. You’ll have adorable deer visitors. We are already considering returning next year!! Loved this place so much!

    We met the actual owners of the Ski Shack during the Salado Christmas tour of homes, & we mentioned we were going to Vail to ski. The owners were so nice that we decided to chose the Ski Shack for our family ski vacation. The house & location are incredible--perhaps one of the most beautiful & peaceful places we have ever stayed! The house was well equipped with everything one could possibly need. All we needed to provide was our clothing & food to eat. We will return as soon as possible! Tommy, Charmaine, & family.

    Beautiful cabin and area. Very clean and very comfortable. The beds are the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in! The hot tub was new and was plenty big for our family. We had everything we needed. We will definitely be back again!

    The short version is the house, ski slope access, and amenities are fantastic. We spent a full week at the house with 8 people and had a magnificent experience. Location: There are two facets to this all-important aspect of real estate. First, this is absolutely a ski-in/ski-out house. You come 2/3 of the way down ‘Heading Home’ and you can keep your skis on all the way to the driveway. You have a short 3-minute walk (in snow boots) to get on the slope. For us this was imperative as it allowed our kids to come and go as they pleased on the slopes. They loved it (and as parents who ferry our kids all over town we did as well!) The second facet is the actual location of the house on the mountain and getting up and down the roads in your vehicle. DO NOT stay in this house without an AWD or 4WD vehicle. You are putting yourself at risk if you ignore the recommendations of property management. The roads are not paved, and they are covered in snow, slush, and mud. The plows run all the way to the house but this in no way negates the need for a capable vehicle. The House: The pictures are a fair representation of the house. It is new construction and very beautiful inside and out. The house comfortably sleeps 10 as advertised. Our kids stayed downstairs, and it gave them ample freedom to do their own thing. There is a large flat screen downstairs and another upstairs. In terms of cookware, fridge space, microwave, ovens, pots & pans, knives, spatulas, etc., there was everything we needed to feed 8+ people for a week. The beds were comfortable. Hot water was immediately available and I don’t recall anyone having to take a cold shower. (Suspect it may have a tankless heater?) When you enter the garage from the driveway you’ll be greeted by ample racks for your gear and multiple hooks for your clothing. But you will absolutely know you have booked a first-class facility when you see the glove/shoe/hat warmers that line the entryway. There are 6-8 warmers that you can set a timer to blow hot air to dry and warm your gear after hours on the slopes. (This was undoubtedly one of the best amenities in my opinion.) The Wifi was excellent with plenty of bandwidth. Property management was incredibly responsive and very friendly both before and during our stay. We were able to communicate with them via text and email. While this house is certainly on the higher end of the price band, we left convinced we made the right choice for Spring Break 2023.

    This house is a dream!! It is perfectly located on the mountain. It is one house away from the main ski run,”Heading Home”. There is an area in the garage to sit down and load/unload for/from a day on the slopes. Along with dryers for your boots and gloves. There are two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs. Perfect for extended family members or friends. This house was everything we wanted and needed. We will be returning!!
