Carpet worn and needed cleaning, toilet seats and sink shelves totally worn through surfaces…such a surprise! Very nice, well appointed kitchen. Cozy and nice , but very dark during the day, living room. Nice loft. Great hiking trails nearby and wonderful walk to the beach. Overall, we had a great time but the space needs a LOT of updating. I guess we got what we paid for but the photos sure didn’t reveal any of the shortcomings.

The home and location were great. It is clear this is a well loved family vacation home. The owner had a robust list of rules, and request prior to check out. The reservation process was more laborious than I would have preferred for a vacation- in one instance they asked for the ages of the people staying in the home. When I had misplaced the check in instructions after a 3 hour drive, requesting support, the property manager came across annoyed via their email stating I had previously agreed to the terms and conditions that held the instructions- as well as committed to printing them. Although true, communication lacked empathy for the travelers arriving late in the evening. Location was wonderful, the home was clean- we all felt if we sneezed in the wrong direction we would hear about it. For the owner, I’m sure gives them a sense of trust and protection in their investment. For us this was fine we spent most of our time exploring beautiful Tahoe - I would be cautious if you plan to do more than sleep in the house.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a lovely stay with my friends for our anniversary/birthday! We are a little further out and they even helped us check in early! Place was so nice and clean! My friends and I wanted to go up to Northstar Ski resort and it was close by. House was supplied with pans, dishes, games and more to help support an amazing time! Would definitely recommend!

This townhouse needs a bit of updating, but does fill the basic needs. The bathrooms could use some shelving on which to put stuff. The sliding doors of the showers are difficult to move and the shower heads don't adjust, they just spray a concentrated stream of water. The sliding door to the deck doesn't function well. The flat screen in the living room is a bit small and it was locked on closed captioning which took my so to figure out how to cancel and also control the volume. The TV in the master br looks to be 20 years old. This place is dated and could use some upgrades. We appreciated the soap, dishwashing soap, and cleaning pad in the kitchen. The pots in the kitchen have lost their nonstick. The location is off the main road and a climb, so walking to town is pretty far. There are no views of the lake so forget that. The couch and one chair in the living room need new cushioning or need to be replaced. Nice dining room table with 8 high top chairs. The fridge has shelves that unexpectedly come off.
