Perfect!

Great location. Very spacious. Clean. There's a school right across the street and hearing the kids play gave joy to the heart. Very close walk to everything. We used the school swings, jungle gym, and basketball courts in the evening. I'd give the place a 4.5 stars, only because the beds were not the most comfy, the landlord can stock a few more towels, and the upstairs bathroom sink basically doesn't work. But it was overall very nice and I'd definitely stay again!

We had a great time here with 2 families (4 adults, 4 kids 1-5yo) over Memorial Day weekend. The location was excellent! We only got in the car to do a couple of activities like the safari and bowling. Easy to walk to the beach, shopping , and restaurants. Excellent coffee shop right down the block. School with a playground right across the street was nice for kids too! Having the yard was really fun with kids, or even just for the adults to sit out and have a drink on the comfy patio furniture . Kitchen is more updated than the rest of the house. Furniture in the living room and dining room areas isn't great to accommodate a big group all at once but it worked for our purposes. One time we called the property manager, didn't answer at first but did when we called back later. It wasn't an emergency though so we were fine.

We loved staying at this charming historic home. We parked our car in the driveway when we arrived and didn’t have to use it the entire weekend because everything we wanted to do was an easy walk away! The house was very clean, a comfortable, and welcoming. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the shady front porch.

The house was very clean and accommodating. Everything was just as expected. We loved the location for its proximity to downtown and restaurants. A couple of suggestions: a mirror in each of the bedrooms would be helpful as having only 2 bathrooms for 6 women was challenging. Also one more comfy chair in the living room would be nice. These are not criticisms, but only suggestions. Overall we would return to the house and would recommend it to friends.

Lake Geneva owners might warn property owners about metered parking downtown. Then two of us would not have started our vacation with $30 parking tickets. Our stay was great. The property manager was very responsive. We would come again.

PROS: - The home is stocked with necessities (toiletries, beach blankets, camping chairs, filtered water) and thoughtful perks (drinks, snacks, gift cards to local businesses). - The management company is terrific. - The home is perfectly located. A block from the main drag, across the street from a playground, tennis and basketball court. - It's a stunner of a historical home. - Beds are comfy, linens clean and solid quality. - In nice weather, you’ll want to spend a lot of time on the porch. Not only does it catch the lake breeze, but there is a ceiling fan above it to circulate air. CONS I tend to rubber stamp homes when it comes time to rate them. But prices of sites like this one have skyrocketed as have rental prices in the Lake Geneva area. It’s important that we renters offer kind yet honest reviews. - Like many historical homes, this one is not friendly to anyone with mobility issues. Back and front steps are uneven and don’t offer safe railings. The bathroom toilets are both very low and shower tubs have no grab bar. - The dining room table (pictured in the listing) only fits four people and two of the sides have drawers, making it hard to fit legs underneath. With 5 people, we realized meals would be impossible. Thankfully, the management company brought a folding table that fit 6 the next day. - Overhead lighting in the living room, dining room and kitchen is weak. All in all, you will get great service from the management company and owners.

The house was wonderful. I live in a older home and love the quirkiness of older homes. They have interest and charm. But, at the same time have up to date kitchen and bathrooms. My sons and I lived in Lake Geneva 35 years ago and to some extent it was like coming home. The house helped with that experience. In addition, I spent hours on the front porch. I would stay there again.
