Love this house! Has everything you need. Hearing the stream was so peaceful and relaxing. They have several houses on Settlers Mountain, we had 3 of them rented for our group. Close to shopping, restaurants, and GSMR. Will definitely be back.
Great location and price for what we needed. Perfect little cabin that's easy to access and was fully stocked for our trip!
We stayed 2 nites for our adventure on the Polar Express and the train ride and our accommodations were wonderful. The kitchen is updated the back porch is incredible with the family room a little cozy for 8 people. I have two dings: 1) For directions instead of saying first house on right past White Church I would say first driveway on right. We came at night and was difficult to find. (very minor ding) 2) There is a nice large screen TV as advertised. But if you don't have internet you don't have TV - streaming only. We are Wi-Fi intelligent people and after 30 minutes we could not get it to work. It was 7pm. Looked through the info and called the after hour number which was disconnected. So I called the emergency number. A lady answered the phone and politely told me this was not an emergency and someone would call tomorrow morning. I don't mind saying I was a little peeved at that moment. So with no other choice we began to work on the Wi-Fi more. Turned out it was defaulting to a wrong account. We got it to work around 9pm. The DVD player is old and does not accept blue ray disc. While we started out with a bad experience the house won us over by the end of our stay. If access to cable stations is important to you then is not for you. This was a family Christmas weekend and we enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion to property management would be to make sure the Wi-Fi is connected before guest arrive and/or have clear printed instructions available since management does not want to be contacted after 5pm.
Family with 2 kids (almost 3 yrs old and 9 months) stayed here for Polar Express and we all loved it! Beautiful property, the hot tub was great for the kids to get some energy out and the kitchen was very well stocked.
This property was very well maintained and offered several amenities that our family really enjoyed. It was clean and comfortable and felt like a home away from home while we were there. It is very close to the nearby town (Bryson City), and easy to get to. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely look to stay again in the future.
Thoroughly enjoyed staying at Etta’s House on Settler’s Mountain. It was fully stocked, clean, cozy and in a beautiful setting. The only thing we wished for was more comfortable beds. The two queen size beds were too firm for our taste.
