Lutsen, Minnesota
Serenity on Superior is a luxury vacation rental located on the popular Cascade Beach Road in Lutsen, Minnesota. This rental includes both Serenity House and Serenity Loft.
Serenity House is a gorgeous, custom cabin featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The bathroom located in the master bedroom features a soaker tub and a separate walk-in shower. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances and a butler's pantry with a wine cooler. Step out onto the lake-facing deck and gather inside the screened-in porch area on summer nights to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and the sounds of the waves against the Lake Superior shoreline.
The main home, Serenity House, has all the charm of Lake Superior outdoor retreat blended with the feel of modern living. High-speed Internet is available in the home, while deer, pine marten, and wolves are known to wander through the property with regularity.
Serenity Loft is located above the adjoining building on the property and features two bedrooms and one bathroom in a loft-apartment style home with a North Woods twist. Curl up in front of the wood-burning stove or sit out on the screened-in porch with a good book and enjoy the sounds of Lake Superior. The loft features an incredible, unique feature: a Japanese-style soaking tub!
Take a stroll down to the ledge rock shoreline where you can often find large pieces of driftwood after stormy weather. As many travel to the North Shore in search of precious gems, you’ll notice we too are very fond of agates and other local rocks that are displayed and featured throughout the home.
Located on Cascade Beach Road, a popular vacation destination near the town of Lutsen on Lake Superior's North Shore. The Lutsen area offers everything from miles of hiking and biking trails to the Midwest’s premier downhill skiing destination - Lutsen Mountains. Head down during the summer months, as well, to enjoy the alpine slide and take a scenic gondola ride up to Moose Mountain Summit where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Superior. Cascade State Park is just a couple of miles away and features a gorgeous waterfall following a short, easy hike. You are also just a short drive away from several restaurants and quaint, locally-owned shops located nearby.
Note: There is an outdoor kitchen area behind Serenity Loft that is not to be used by guests due to safety precautions.
Serenity House and Serenity Loft can also be rented separately if you do not need so much space. Note that when rented separately you may have another party in the other property during your stay. If you rent Serenity on Superior, the entire property is yours to enjoy!

Rented out both serenity properties for a stay with some friends. They were both very nice. The location is wonderful with proximity to Lutsen and Grand Marais. Kitchen was well-stocked and everything was clean. Would certainly stay again.
Lovely property! Very well appointed. From check in to check out we couldn’t have been more pleased with the accommodations and location, just steps from the lake.
What a gorgeous place! A short drive to restaurants, groceries and nature. The cascade lodge was very good. We really enjoyed our stay!
We had a great time! The (already great) photos honestly undersold how beautiful the property is, this place is great! Right in the water, lots of land, plenty of room for yard games, and not far from everywhere we were going. Our group had 7 people and everyone was comfortable and loved the property! A great weekend away. We will absolutley be back

Absolutely gorgeous property (houses and land) overlooking (and with access to) Lake Superior. The houses themselves (main and loft) are beautifully built and decorated. I understand the concerns about covid, but needing to provide not just sheets but blankets, comforters, kitchen towels and even bath mats is difficult for guests that aren't local (we flew in so had to scramble to get everything). We knew about sheets ahead of time but the blanket, kitchen towel etc was a surprise. Also the water in the main house is overly-softened leaving a salty residue on all dishware and glasses and is horrible tasting so bring your own water. Those inconveniences aside, it's a great place and would probably consider staying again!
We had a nice trip. I do have to say that I tried a few times to communicate with Cascade about the trip and I was told that they would get beck to me, they didn't. It was disappointing. The places were nice. One of the refrigerators smelled so badly of fish that it was unusable and the dishes were extremely dirty. All of the problems we had were housekeeping problems. The property itself is very nice. No linens or bedding due to covid. We were told we could rent them and I don't understand that at all. All problems had nothing to do with the owners but with Cascade. It is a beautiful area and the middle deck is a nice bonus.
We loved it. Two separate structures is a great solution for the mix of night owls and early risers in our group. Stunning views. VERY clean. Kitchen was equipped nicely. We loved it. It’s worth mentioning again, VERY clean.
The property is unlike anything else with breath-taking views, beautiful gardens, outstanding accommodations, and truly one of the most unique properties on Bde Maka Ska (Lake Superior). I would highly recommend staying here, and hope to be back myself.
