As described! The spa was heated and ready for us, which was a plus. The kids will spend hours playing air hockey, but they do need to get new pucks as the one they have is widdled away.
There was no water or wi fi, the lane was so encrusted with ice that we couldn't use garage, a vape pen was left on the master bedstand, the jacuzzi had an algae bloom and stunk and no one came out to fix these problems as promised.
For a visit in the transition from summer sports to winter sports, we found the house well located. It was too cool to use the canoe and visit the lake, but the hiking was magnificent, with some trails within walking distance and Donner Summit a very short drive away. We enjoyed the ping pong table. The hot tub cover is very heavy.
Beautiful location loved it
We really enjoy the house.
We arrived late, around 10pm, to find out the house was 35 degrees F inside, there was no hot water, and the gas stove and oven didn’t work. Vacasa, who managed the trip, after multiple, multiple phone calls sent someone out 12 hours later at 10am, who checked the propane tank for the house and told us it was empty as the house no longer had a contract for propane. At first, they offered us a new place (without a hot tub) and no refund, but, after we fully explained the situation, they promised us a full refund and a 20% discount on a future trip. We’ve received the email for the future trip discount and are waiting on the full refund. The house was clean and seemed like it would’ve been wonderful IF basic utilities were taken care of.
We had a lovely stay in Serene lakes at this home. I don’t think there was anything I would change about it (except we couldn’t figure out how to use the dart board). The hot tub was awesome, everything in the kitchen worked well…. Thank you!
Hi, This place is as advertised. It's quite nice. However, it's still considerably more expensive than many nearby and comparable places. I don't think it's worth the extra money.
The house is nice. The layout is nice. The floors are very dirty and there is a lot of dog hair in the rug and human hair on pillows. Bowls and glasses and silverware have bits of food on them. Kitchen cupboard is broken with the door tucked on the floor next to the refrigerator. We rented for a weekend; on Saturday afternoon, when we returned from skiing, the house smelled like gas. I called Vacasa and was told there is nothing they could do about it and I should call 911. I called 911. The fire department told us to get out of the house. By then, it was nighttime and below freezing. When the firemen arrived (two firemen and the chief in two vehicles, they told us to get away from the blast area. They inspected everything (they were great) and found that the propane gas tank was empty. We had no heat, no hot water, no stove or oven. No firewood (I had asked on Friday night and was told that firewood was not provided by Vacasa). The staff was overwhelmed and unable to help and essentially expected me to understand that there was nothing she could do. She explained to me that they own 50 properties and two people cannot be expected to check them all to make sure that there is propane. She complained that there is a shortage of staff, just like all over the country. The fire chief called the manager to explain to her the circumstances. She did not show any sense of concern or accountability that we had no hot water, no heat, no oven or stove. Awful.
The cabin was clean & cozy. We were 2 couples + 1 and had plenty of space. Great location for cross country, snow shoeing or just hiking around. Also close to Sugar Bowl. Not good snow right now, unfortunately, but still had a lovely relaxing stay.
