Entertainment

The Red Heron keeps the fun rolling indoors and out. A ping pong table is available for guests who need a little friendly competition after a day on the water. With the lake right outside and kayaks waiting at the dock, you may find the entertainment writes itself.

Kitchen & Dining

The fully equipped kitchen is stocked and ready for everything from a casual lakeside breakfast to a full holiday spread. You'll find a coffee maker, blender, crockpot, toaster, mixer, and a complete set of cookware including roasting pans, baking pans, a loaf pan, and a full knife block. Tableware is provided for up to 10 guests - plates, mugs, wine glasses, juice glasses, and full place settings included. A dishwasher makes cleanup a breeze after big family dinners.

Technology

Two 65-inch smart TVs bring the binge-worthy evenings home - one in the master bedroom and one in the downstairs living room. Both are equipped with streaming apps, so your favorite shows and movies are ready to go. WiFi is provided through a reliable provider.

Laundry

Full-size washer and dryer are on-site in the laundry room - perfect for longer stays or sandy lake days that require a fresh start.

Outdoor

The back deck is your launching pad for everything lake life has to offer. Step off the deck and follow the path down to the private dock, where you can tie up a boat for a temporary stop, launch a kayak, or spend an afternoon fishing with the gear provided. The lily pad is out for summer swimming fun. When the sun goes down, gather around the wood-burning fire pit just to the right of the dock steps. The propane grill is fully ready for cookouts with a fresh tank and working burners. Hammock chairs round out the outdoor experience when all you want is to sway gently and watch the water.

Note: During summer weekends and peak season, lake traffic can make the water choppy near the dock. All water toys, kayaks, fishing gear, and swim equipment must be returned to their original location before checkout.

Guest Access:

Self-check-in is easy and seamless - the lockbox is located on the wooden steps, on the post by the front door. A backup key lockbox is also available outside. A welcome binder inside the home walks you through house amenities and local info. Your host is available when you need them and gives you the space to fully relax when you don't.

The Neighborhood:

Linn Creek puts you in the heart of the Lake of the Ozarks region - where the water is always calling and the town strip is never far. Whether you're after live music, a boat tour, lakeside dining, or a quiet afternoon at the winery, everything you need is within easy reach of The Red Heron.

▸ Big Surf Waterpark: 3.4 miles (7 min) - Water park rides and family fun

▸ Lake of the Ozarks: 0.1 miles (0 min) - Boating, fishing, swimming - you're already there

▸ Ozarks Amphitheater: 12.6 miles (19 min) - Outdoor concerts and live music venue

After a day on the lake, there's nothing better than coming back to The Red Heron knowing the fire pit is waiting, the hammocks are swaying, and the only thing left to decide is whether to pour a glass of wine on the deck or catch one more sunset from the dock.

Cons: Hand railing on the stairs would be a huge benefit as the currently are none. Could have been more kitchen utensils/pans available for use when it says fully stocked. Pros: Loved the view! The beds were comfortable. Amazing dock sitting and plenty of floats available to use.

What a phenomenal stay. This house had everything we needed for our 5 day trip. The house itself looked like it had been remodeled recently and the update was fantastic. This is our 6th trip to LotO and my entire family commented on this being our nicest stay (and Ive done a great job picking in the past). Furnishings and everything were all top notch. The house had everything we needed including piles of games for rainy days. Like nearly every Lake of the Ozarks locations, there's a fair number of steps top to bottom. There are a bunch of gathering spaces too with a deck off the master bedroom, deck off of the back, large fire pit level, and seating and a table down at the private dock. We fished a lot off of the dock, launched our own kayak, launched the cabins kayaks, floated around in floaty chairs, and went paddleboarding with the provided paddleboards. Water wise, its just off of a major intersection of two branches. Even though its located on a no wake cove, theres a lot of waves that rock all ofmthe docks. At first we were a bit nervous about it possibly being dangerous, but our first day a grandpa who was a neighbor was swimming with his family next door. Turned out to be no issue at all and we went swimming and paddle boarding every day. Lastly, the side you're on has a phenomenal view and at sunset we had to be out on our deck or firepit. So beautiful.

Inside of home was clean; however, window sills need cleaned, we opened the blinds and covered with bugs. Amenities are not accurate; the outside property needs power washed. Has layers of webs and spiders, you are unable to use half of what is listed on the dock. We tried to hose the stuff off but water pressure was nonexistent. Has washer/dryer but no soap. Toliet paper is like tissue paper, so bring your own. Bring your own pans. Theirs are warped and awful. No firewood was provided like description says. House not suitable for people with disabilities. Bathroom in main bedroom needs traction in the tub, extremely slippery.

The house has plenty of ways to be entertained. It was only a three night stay and the family spent most of their time on the dock or in the water. One tip that I wish someone had told me, don't wear a white tshirt in the lake if you want it to stay white.

The house was as described, though the wonderful view of the lake was much better than the pictures could capture. Our family loved the dock, Lily pad, fire pit, chairs, and indoor amenities. There were plenty of games for the time it rained. The driveway is steep, but manageable.

Our family of seven had an amazing long weekend at the lake and have this awesome lake house to thank for it. From the paddle boards, Lily Pad and kayaks to the fishing pole/bait and firepit, complete with extra wood on hand, fun was had by all. Bring beach towels and fishing poles!!! That was the only thing we had to run out and grab. Comfie beds, clean white bath towels plus bathroom essentials like soap, shampoo, conditioner. Great / well stocked kitchen; plus everything we needed to BBQ (on the porch overlooking the lake). We enjoyed having all the board games on hand as well. Thank you for making us feel right at home.
