Stayed Sep 6, 2023The best location we have ever stayed at! Close enough to shopping areas, but far enough away to enjoy the OBX experience! Very quiet area, private access to beach. Very comfortable, nothing over the top like most places anymore. Reminds me of 30 years ago on the Banks! We will be back!

Stayed Jun 30, 2022Wow! What a great property and location. Just over the dune from a sparsely populated beach, the seahorse cottage had everything my family needed. There were plenty of books and toys for our young ones as well. Annette was easily one of the best hosts I have experienced! She was very communicative, cared about our comfort, and provided excellent recommendations for food and things to do around the island. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Annette accommodated us at the very last minute, helping us book a same-day reservation when the weather forced us to change our plans. She was very helpful and timely in communication. The cottage does show its age, but it is well-kept and was very clean. Our 3-year-old was thrilled to discover all the toys and games there.

Stayed Aug 4, 2021Clean, well furnished and conveniently located. Family enjoyed the views of the ocean from the deck during breakfast, 2 minute walk to our spot on the beach during the day and less than 10 minute walk down the beach to a local restaurant with live music. Games, books and movies were a nice touch for quality family time in the evening. Conveniently located for trips to lighthouses, Roanoke, Wright Brothers museum, etc. Communication with/from the owners was second to none.

Stayed Jul 16, 2021The house was well appointed, a short walk to the beach, and had all the amenities required for a fun beach vacation. The lodgings were comfortable and the Internet worked well. There were numerous television choices and lots of books and games. We had a great time.
