Great place. Loved the look and location to the beach.

Cozy home located in between two RV parks. Beach was crowded in July due to the location of the RV parks to the left and right. The beds are very comfortable!! The linens were great as well making it a restful vacation. The home was welcoming and very clean. We did experience some theft there as someone took my sons brand new beach shoes that we purchased the same day. Otherwise, we had a great stay!!

Recently stayed at this wonderful beach house. This was our second stay. Great location and would recommend highly to anyone looking for a beach getaway!

Very comfortable!

My husband and I stayed a few days with our small dog. We thoroughly enjoyed the property. It was perfect for us! The location was fantastic and accommodations as expected. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the ocean on one side and the sunsets on the other. We walked on the beach (literally right across the street) in the mornings. The property was very pet friendly. We will definitely be back again!

Our family really enjoyed our stay this week. The house was decorated cute/beachy. It had all the cookware you’d need, comfy screened in porch and a deck to sit and relax as well. The owner was great with getting right back with us if we needed anything. We were all very pleased with this rental. Thanks again!

Hi, we had a nice time. Just an FYI, the bathtub was not draining so we got ZEP for septic systems and used that to open it. You may wish to have it checked out. Thank you for the lovely welcome gift. It was very thoughtful of you to remember us. Carolyn

Spent a week and had a fantastic time. House is located close to the beach and nicely appointed. Would recommend to others as a nice beach getaway.

We were excited about the location of the house right next to the ocean and it was indeed wonderful. We could walk to and fro in our swimwear multiple times throughout the day. The outside shower with hot water and hose were very convenient. The patio was our favorite place in the morning (you can see some ocean, lusten to the waves, and watch the sunrise right there!) and in the evening (when the sun was on the other side and it was shady and breezy). We found the beds very comfortable and the house cozy and clean. Although the kitchen was missing some items, it was well equipped and we managed without (we’ve shared the list with the owners). Overall, we enjoyed our time and would recommend the place to friends.

This property was BEAUTIFUL. A quant beach cottage located very close to the beach. It was perfect for our family and our four-legged companions! The home was accurately advertised, and the home was pristine when we arrived. Whoever cleans the property following each rental deserves a raise! Looking forward to renting this property for future visits to Hatteras Island!

We enjoyed our stay very much at Pelican Reef. It was fully stocked in the kitchen with everything you need to cook. We played the games that were provided and used some of the sand toys and beach chairs that were offered to us to use. We were very impressed. We rented a surf board for the week and since the location is so close to the beach, it made it easy to go out for a quick surf. One thing to note, is that towels are not included which was mentioned in the posting but that also means dish towels, wash clothes, and hand towels which I did not think to bring. So hopefully this review will help future renters. Again great location and a fully stocked home made it a great trip for our family.
