Second row beach house with private swimming pool located at South Litchfield.

This house worked very well for our multi generational family. It was a beautiful location, just a short walk to the beach and very quiet street with little traffic. The screened in porch was great for morning coffee and for the younger kids to play. The pool was a great and loved the huge dining table for family meals and puzzles. A few things to note for future guests: The keys did not work for the front sliding door entry and we had to walk around back to enter initially. There is no house manual, while everything is pretty much self explanatory we searched high and low for the pack n’ play and ended up having to run to Walmart to purchase one the first night. We later found a locked door on the back deck that housed the washer/dryer, extra fridge as well as the pack n’ play and high chair. It would have been great if this was mentioned somewhere. All of the bedrooms are off the main living/dining room, so after anyone goes to bed you have to be very quiet. All of the bathrooms are located inside the bedrooms as well. Downstairs bedrooms are not suitable for younger guests as they are separate from the rest of the house and open up to inside fenced pool area. These rooms are also very small and a bit lacking, but worked for us and was nice to have the extra separate space so my brother could go out fishing late and come back whenever he wanted without waking the rest of the house. Overall this house is great and has a wonderful feel, we all enjoyed our time!

The property is lovely and well stocked, however, cleaning crew had not done their best work prior to our arrival, leaving crumbs/food in some chairs and floors/rugs looking very well trafficked. The space worked well for our group, although the downstairs rooms do leave a little to be desired (as basement quarters often do) and not having indoor access to them was a pain at times. Doors to basement rooms and laundry room were very difficult to unlock with the keys; knobs need replaced. Most mattresses also need replaced, as we had some very sore backs throughout the stay. But, we had a large group, which is difficult to accommodate, and we made the best of it and enjoyed our time. Pool was a huge perk, with a very nice outdoor space for gathering and relaxing. Best proximity to the beach you can get other than waterfront. Good amount of parking, lots of seating in the main indoor area. With a few repairs and upgrades, this place will be top notch.
