Dolphin Daze is a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath vacation rental unit located midway between Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe on the Forgotten Coast that comfortably accommodates a party of up to 14. Because this beach house sits a half mile off Highway 98, there is little traffic to fuss with being on a short, dead-end street. It is located directly on the Bay Beach Bicycle Trail, with over 2 miles of conservation beach to serve as your private buffer from the noise and crowds.

Beautiful views of the bay, the sun setting over the gulf, and Cape San Blas from the screened porch are complimented by stained glass and antique nautical decor, with screen and open porches. All living quarters are on the second floor, so no running up and down stairs during your stay. The upstairs can be accessed by a lift instead of the need to climb stairs that are available for use during your stay. As a convenience to pet owners, this pet friendly home has a small fenced area in the backyard. There is also a shared hot tub, fire pit, grilling area, and fish cleaning station for added outdoor entertainment.

A secluded beach is within view, and a short walk of roughly 200 feet to private access. A pet-friendly beach makes it an ideal spot for families with children. Protected by the Cape San Blas peninsula, the gulf is calmer, with gentle waves rolling onshore. Its location allows privacy, with the closest public beach access a quarter mile away, so it is sometimes possible to be alone on the beach. When not playing on the beach, Windmark Towncenter is within a short 10 minute walk, offering pizza, ice cream, spa treatments, live music, restaurants, and shops.

    The house is very functional and efficient use of space. It is beautifully decorated. Access to the beach is very convenient even though it’s a third row house; views are not obstructed and it was a short walk to the beach pass. I love the hot tub; the elevator lift was extremely helpful! Plenty of outdoor things to do. Although the kitchen was fully stocked with plates, silverware and glassware, The dishwasher did not work. It ran, but it did not clean dishes, and apparently the cleaning staff was not aware of this because they put dirty dishes in the cabinets, dirty silverware in the drawers and pots and pans with food residue all over them. Some of the cabinet smells like fish when you open them up because of the rancid smelling food left on them. There were no trash bags for the kitchen can conveniently located at least. I searched around and did not find any. It would have been helpful to have a notification either by the trashcan or down in the carport that stated the trashcan for the unit was at the end of the road. The bin is enclosed at the end of the driveway, which appears to be in somebody’s front yard. We did not know that it was for Ava‘s Beachhouse use. The amenities listed Wi-Fi but no Wi-Fi password was ever provided. I called Premier properties and spoke to a representative for who said the property owner must have changed the password and that she would have a property manager contact me by phone but I never heard back from anyone.

    The only complaints I had about the house were it was unclear about it being a dual occupancy and the beds were uncomfortable. There is an upstairs and a downstairs and we were surprised when we had neighbors. Other than that it was a great house clean and the beach location was fantastic!

    I would like a phone call from the property manager at the earliest time to discuss my unhappiness with this rental. Our stay at the property was below expectations. The description for this particular property had absolutely no indication that the space on the ground floor was a rental. Guests for that space arrived on Friday. We were completely caught off guard. When renting this property it indicated access to all amenities. How are all amenities to be accessed when the ground space is rented? Again covered parking and sufficient parking for 4 vehicles, but renting two units where would the other vehicles be parked of the other guests? There was no indication in the property description that this was a “shared” property. Another issue was the two properties were never indicated as being “separate”. The property was falsely advertised and some compensation for this is expected. Not only was the group below our rental unhappy, but one particular guest was very rude and fouled mouthed to our group of women. This obviously made this trip stressful for all involved. Please contact me as soon as possible. We have tried to reach out to the property management, they will not return calls or emails. I would love for someone either with VRBO or Pristine Properties to please reach out. This is an issue.

    House was beautiful and so convenient and close to marina and beach. We had a wonderful time. Check out was a bit early 10am, but otherwise wonderful.
