Secluded, lakefront getaway with deck - near sights & attractions

The views from the place are unmatched. The whole place was clean and very welcoming

Unit upkeep lacking. Outdoor grill stored in kitchen and was not cleaned after last guest. Storm door handles falling off along with soft close piston. Some dishes were dirty. Frig. shelves dirty. Fire alarm went off at 4:30 AM with 3 beeps and screaming fire-fire-fire. Beautiful location but house needs works and better cleaning. Not worth the money spent!!.Also upper gate sticks and is a hazard!

Lovely setting, great location, the stairs were a bit tough.

Deck overlooking water was lovely. Toiletries & kitchen amenities very good. Hated 52 VERY STEEP stairs to get to property from road. Property description said some steps. Horrible bed, too soft and whole thing swayed if either sleeper moved at all. AWFUL!!! So hot felt like an oven, no A/C and only one tiny fan, but realize heat wave is not normal for the area. TV reception and streaming terrible, cut in and out constantly.

Beautiful setting!

This lake house was better than we expected. The house had everything we could have needed and was clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time out on the deck soaking up the sun and gazing at the stunning views. We took hikes at nearby trails (Devils Punch Bowl was only a 15 min drive, kid friendly, and gorgeous). We will definitely be booking this spot again!

The drive in is so stunning. The lake views are divine. House is quaint as described but you can’t beat the location!

The location of this place cannot be beat! The inside is small, but we were prepared for that. It was clean, and we had everything we needed - small kitchen and very tiny bathroom but the lake is amazing! It's a very unique awesome property. I'd stay again!

Its a great place and have been many times in years past , when i looked to rebook for next year its price is sadly outpriced the locals.

Perfect getaway

We had a really wonderful time at the house. It was practical, the location at the lake was as fantastic as suggested by the pictures and the lake and surroundings great to explore. Also the balcony and deck are well-designed and not scary with small kids.To round of the experience another set of linen to use both (of the relatively small) sleeping couches and some simple real dinner plates instead of plastic would have been nice. To take it over the top, the sleeping couch could be more comfortable, as the bed nicely was.

Our kids loved the lazy evening on the lake after hiking all day. The water was so clear and gorgeous for swimming and being in the sun on the deck. Would love to come back for more than a night! A very clean, comfortable, and quiet stay. Love it!!

The house has an amazing view. Very clean. Can rest 4 people comfortably. Does have very steep steps before you enter the house. Recommend bringing stuff for activities in the water, super easy access to the lake. Many near by hikes/trails (kid friendly).

It was so relaxing to be right in the lake. We loved being close to fun hikes.

Wonderful weekend on the water!

We loved our stay! This property is adorable and cozy on the edge of the lake. Communication about access to the property was great. There is a long staircase which feels sturdy and was rather steep down to the house. We were there in January and the stairs stayed ice free although the deck iced over easily. We had no problems with grippy shoes.If planning to cook extensively I would recommend bringing additonal cooking implements. The kitchen is equipped with the basics and is hand wash only.

Loved the morning views with the fog over the lake in the fall. Beautiful tree colors. We loved hiking nearby and walking the dirt path in the evening. Perfect little get away for us two. Enjoyed making salmon in the kitchen. Needed to buy our own coffee which was fine once we realized it. Definitely recommend!

excellent location and views

The house itself is fine-nothing special and could use some updates. But the lakefront access and dock and back deck are incredible. This was our 3rd time here. WiFi was good enough for me to do some work but glitchy for streaming sports-they do have a small smart TV but it seems old and slow. But we were able to watch with some glitches. There is a Blackstone griddle as the BBQ which we loved! The bed is small and the bathroom is tiny, but for 2 people it’s comfortable enough if you’re spending most of your time on the lake or exploring. Lake Sutherland is so lovely and bustling with activity! There weren’t many towels there so we were fine but may not hurt to bring your own. There were no pool noodles or floats to use-we found a few in the closet but all seemed to have slow leaks and required you to blow them up with your mouth, which for a vacation rental, kinda gross. I’d bring my own pool floats next time! All in all, great trip! If you want something right on the lake and aren’t looking for lots of bells & whistles with the house itself, it’s a perfectly comfortable spot with spectacular views and lake access.

We loved loved loved this little house on the lake. It was the perfect location for our Olympic NP vacation. Clean and cozy, would stay again in a heartbeat.

The location was perfect. Close to town but far enough away to feel secluded. Right on the lake, surrounded by mountain view’s in every direction. We hike multiple trails around Olympic National Park & loved ending the day on the decks of this house.

Looks just like the photos. The views are amazing. We would definitely come back. Only downside was slight sewage smell off and on throughout the whole stay but if you’re out on the deck you don’t smell anything

Great location. The lake is very special. The kitchen is small and needs an update on dishware and cookware. Refrigerator froze all of our vegetables. The couches are quite comfy as beds. Bathroom is tiny. As billed re: no dishwasher or washer/dryer. Living room is spacious and the deck access is awesome for outdoor dining.

I still can’t believe how beautiful this house/lake was. Really close to park attractions and 20 minutes from Port Angeles. The only real con is the location of the bathroom (you have to walk through the bedroom).
