Hibernation Station is right, no matter what season you visit. You won't want to leave this gorgeous home set in the woods on 15 private acres in Northern Vermont. There's room for the whole group to both spread out and gather together in lots of cozy nooks over the three levels. The main floor features wide wood beams on the ceiling and light wood floors throughout, making the space feel both expansive and cozy. Tons of windows flood the space with natural light, and all the modern furnishings blend seamlessly with the area, from the velvet sectional in front of the wood-burning fireplace to the sleek mid-century dining chairs and live edge table, with seating for guests. Around the corner, there's another dining table and a group of leather club chairs gathered in a circle, just begging for a great conversation over a bottle of wine.
Elsewhere on this floor, you'll find the large, modern kitchen with stainless appliances, a gas stove, plenty of counter space, and all the gadgets necessary to whip up a feast for everyone. Corner cabinets feature artful stained-glass detailing, which you'll find tucked into windows throughout the house. Just around the corner from the kitchen are the large private sauna and the first of five bedrooms, this one with a bed and TV.
Upstairs, you'll find three more bedrooms, one with a bed and a cozy reading nook and another with a TV. The expansive main suite features Jay Peak views, a velvet lounge chair in front of the gorgeous stone gas fireplace, a TV, a spacious walk-in closet, and an en suite bathroom with a soaking tub, concrete countertops, and a large tile shower. The second living space on this level features a sectional big enough for the group, a gas stove to keep everyone cozy, a full-size pool table, board games, and a mini-fridge, so you don't have to walk back downstairs to grab a cold drink. There's an additional sleeping loft with a play area for the kids featuring a rocket ship playhouse and a twin bed with a trundle.
You'll find a game table and chairs up a spiral staircase, perfect for a late-night card game and another TV. With so much to do at home, you may not explore too much outside, but spectacular sunset views of Jay Peak from the large deck are gorgeous no matter the season. Only three miles from Jay Peak and two and a half miles to the Jay Community trail system featuring groomed trails for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and fat biking. When the snow melts, these become fantastic hiking and mountain biking trails. Enjoy the private firepit next to the babbling stream in the summer. The Hibernation Station awaits your perfect vacation - all that's left to do is book it.

My friends and I had a great stay at the hibernation station. Spacious, clean, and comfortable, with endless amenities. Lucked out on conditions at the mountain and this was the perfect place to retreat and relax by the fireplace(s) and rest up. 2 mins drive from the lifts. Everything was quality. Thanks for having us. Beautiful home!
We were a group of family and friends with little ones getting together for a long weekend away to celebrate my father’s 60th birthday. The house is extremely spacious with plenty of room for large groups. We had little ones with us who absolutley lived the large house. Having a high chair and a pack and play there already was very helpful. The set up of the house is extremely nice. If upstairs in your bedroom, it was very quiet while others are downstairs talking and enjoying themselves. The house is only a few minutes away to a great country store, Jay Peak for skiing/snowboarding and the indoor waterpark! A perfect situated house. We had brought keurig cups knowing that there was a keurig coffee machine there. Unfortunately the keurig did not work so we had to go out to get ground coffee for our mornings. Very minimal issue, just be prepared to use the ground coffee machine instead. We did enjoy the hot tub but it was a little dirty… nothing too bad. The backyard porch lights turned on but the lamp posts did not so we did walk in the dark to go see the fire pit area. Again, a very minimal issue. Overall this house was absolutely amazing!! My family enjoyed ourselves and do look forward to perhaps staying again in the future.
Great spacious place with plenty of comfy bedrooms and fun features. A few surprise visitors (mice) which is not a big deal - but it would be best to warn us in advance to plan to store/seal food away the first night to avoid issues. Otherwise well equipped and great location near Jay Peak.
The house was centrally located to many communities and big enough for multiple people with plenty of space for everyone.
The home was beautiful and so was the property, but there are a few issues that could be resolved.
Great house in a wonderful area. Highly recommended
Overall we loved our stay at this house and the location of our trip. The house was absolutely beautiful and the view of jay peak was a plus. The only cons we found with this house are that the pots and pans dont accommodate the amount of people the house can hold. The biggest con of all if you are looking at this for a summer rental or enjoy sleeping in the cold is that there is only AC on the first floor. Everyone found it extremely hot to sleep at night and struggled with that. I definitely recommend bringing a fan. It was so peaceful being so far in the woods away from everything but still found lots to do. We went to Jay peak, Big Falls State Park, and even found a fishing spot nearby. Taking a small trip to Newport to eat by the lake was nice too. Despite the small problems we faced they werent enough to keep us from going again. We loved this trip.
Property is beautiful and well maintained. Didn’t use hot tub actually looked very dirty but didn’t inspect too hard. Broken glass bottle under deck and a ball under couch just makes you think cleaners aren’t that thorough. Screen missing in a bedroom window so couldn’t open at night due to mosquitoes. Overall very nice and would stay there again
Really nice house. Hot tub, sauna and pool table. Large 3 bay Heated garage. Plenty of rooms, beds and bathrooms for a large family. We had as many as 11 for 2 nights and 7 the rest of the week. After only a couple days it seemed like home and all were sad to have to leave.
Great place, tons of space
Can’t wait to come back !
Just book it! What a stunning home! Listing says 2800 sqft but house is around 4800 sqft. We had plenty of room with 12ppl. We had a blast! Kitchen was fully stocked with blender, toaster, coffee maker etc. The home provided plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, we bought more dish soap we were there 5 nights. The home is very open so we could hear everyone from every bedroom we didn’t mind. Two bedrooms were in area were entertainment room was and the upstairs attic en suite bedroom had a Queen and trundle. The master bedroom and en-suite bathroom are insane! Huge and gorgeous with incredible views. There was an open area with another trundle bed outside the master and entertainment area. The other bedroom is downstairs by the small dining area, kitchen, family room and dining room. The fireplace is fantastic! We didn’t feel comfortable using hot tub since person cleaning told us they had no ph sticks etc. The sauna was amazing! This home is so well thought out and immaculate! Only 8min to Jay Peak resort! The bathrooms and bedrooms are all perfect and big. The kitchen was big enough for our group and we are pretty serious cooks. We also hired a chef who made us a gourmet meal and set us up with groceries etc before we arrived. The garage oh boy the garage! Heated! I never thought I needed a heated garage until we experienced it in this home. Plenty of built ins to store your skis, snowboard and boots! I would recommend owners put another refrigerator in garage but all in all the owners have thought of everything! Oh and the Mountain View from the dining room and gorgeous deck is fantastic! If this house is available when you need it. Book it! You won’t be disappointed.
The house was gorgeous, with plenty of room for people to split off for smaller group activities, and for the most part had pretty good sound muffling. We loved the large kitchen, but the fridge was dripping (seems to be an issue with the freezer?) and the skillet selection was pretty lacking considering the group size the house accommodates. Everything else was perfect, though. The master bedroom and its attached bathroom make you feel like royalty.
Lots of room to spread out and plenty of good sized bedrooms. Hot tub was an added bonus
We really enjoyed the home & it was very spacious but when we arrived the bin was filled with trash. My friend also cut her foot on the carpet because there was large shards of glass on the ground and sofa.
Beautiful views, house had everything! We did NOT want to leave!!
Beautiful view of Jay Peak. Very spacious, bathrooms very nice. Enjoyed the hot tub on the spacious deck. We will definitely book another stay.
This home is absolutely stunning. Large enough for plenty of guests and more than enough room for air mattresses if needed. The views of Jay Peak are amazing and the back patio is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. We would certainly recommend this home for anyone looking to get away in northern VT.
Great place for three generations of family .
