Very nice place. Every bedroom has an attached bathroom which is good for large groups. Fun basement with the pool/card tables. Close enough to Galena to explore town but also has the secluded feel. If we visit the area again i would not hesitate to rent from this group again.

We had a great stay at this property! The house was very clean and there was lots of room for all of us. The stairs from the driveway down to the house were a bit tricky because of snow and ice. The beds were really comfortable, and the hot tub was amazing. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful property, excellent for our group. Kitchen was nicely equipped and the main floor has great group congregating area. Only issues were outdoor lighting along stairs from parking area was insufficient. Would book this property again and host was great!

Communication with property manager was terrific. The house was large very clean. Future guests should be aware there are many steps from the driveway to the front door so it’s not the best for elderly individuals with walkers. When we booked, we didn’t realize this.

Beautiful home! Plenty of space for the whole family. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub. The inside of the house was very clean.

We enjoyed a great long weekend. The house was perfect for 8 of us. Having a bathroom for each bedroom was ideal. The kitchen was spacious and we really enjoyed the pool table downstairs. The house was close to golf at Eagle Ridge and we really enjoyed the use of the Galena Owners Club.

Brian and Johnny were amazing to work with. Lots of room to enjoy the property. Eat at Charlie’s Place! So good.

Spacious property with plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms. The kitchen could be better stocked for a house that is not really close to restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay with a few hiccups. At arrival, I realized there is quite the distance from the parking area above to the home below. Carrying belongings and groceries was a chore. Anyone unsteady would need assistance down the big steps. There is a tiny bit of yard in the front, but all a slight hill. The home was clean. Once settled in for a weekend of cooking for our family, I realized the frying pans were old and had no coating left. Bring pans, plastic wrap, foil and Ziplock bags if needed with you. The dishwasher wasnt attached to the cabinets, so once loaded, tipped forward. I did communicate that to the management person. Dishes weren't clean after using it, so I handwashed all weekend.The bedroom upstairs with a king bed and separate bthrm was large, but our 3 year old grandson had to be downstairs, as it has a railing around the landing, open to the 1st floor. Lots of bedrooms (1 upper, 1 main), basment also had 2 and each with a bthrm. Nice big living srea to sit with family. The home instructed to not sign out of their YouTube, but allowed us to, so we could order our own show. Nice porch to sit on, but down in the trees so far, not a bit of sun was to be had.

The house was beautiful. Very clean and very cozy. The property manager was helpful and replied promptly to my messages. We loved our stay!

We enjoyed a few nights over Spring Break. The house was the perfect size with a nice lay out. It felt private due to its location among the trees. Some minor details would have improved our stay (for example extra sets of towels and items for the kitchen such as tin foil and storage containers). There was also a very slow drain in the bathroom on the first floor. Overall, we liked the house and the listing was accurate.

Great place for our group! It was so easy to get in and out and we had soo much space and activities!!

We love this place. Our goal is to return every year it’s spacious and has a hot tub and fireplace. Beautiful decks to enjoy family time and never leave or a short drive to visit historic Galena.

We spent the weekend in Galena celebrating our son and daughter’s birthdays. We had a fantastic time playing games, shopping, hiking with goats (so fun!) and eating way too much delicious food. The house was cozy with a great fireplace and hot tub. Our dogs also enjoyed their weekend away from home. We hope to visit again soon!

The house & location was perfect for our long weekend with our college kids & dog.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed staying here. There was plenty of space for everyone, the kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, and we loved the hot tub and pool table. We especially liked the location being so close to hiking trails, and the Eagle Ridge resort and golf clubhouse/restaurant. I should mention that the driveway is at a higher elevation than the entrance to the home, with a series of stairs leading down to the front door. That was fine for us, but those with mobility issues would have difficulty getting to the entrance. Overall, a wonderful experience and we would definitely consider renting this home again!

Worked perfectly for our weekend golf trip!

My siblings (6 total) and I stayed here for 3 nights. It was perfect for us all. Everyone had a nice time with enough space to hang out. It's in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. We had no issues. I would highly recommend. Great for bigger groups.

Shagbark retreat was perfect for our family Galena weekend. Very clean and well maintained. Would definitely go back!

First time in Galena for a family wedding. The property was great and accommodated our group of 7 perfectly. Brian was fantastic in communication and responsiveness. Entering Shagbark the house was spotless and presented just like the photos. An information book on the area, stores, shops etc was available. As first timers in the territory this information was great. We were too busy all weekend so did not get a chance to use jacuzzi, but it was ready and available! Would highly recommend this property to anyone planning trip to the Gelena territory!. Joe

The home was lovely, spacious and a quick drive to the downtown attractions! The passes to the pool were great for a mid-July swim. The home was clean, stocked with the kitchen basics and very welcoming. It was great for a girls weekend because each room had a bathroom en suite! Multiple bathrooms is a plus for 7 girls!
