Great Cabin with awesome amenities and very comfortable. Close to town if you need light groceries or want to eat out. Lots of hiking and outdoor recreation nearby.
This was our first real family vacation away from our Iowa routines in a long time, and our first time in Colorado. Just the four of us, two parents with their two teenagers. This was a bit of a bet for us, not really knowing the area and what to do around there, but it seemed to match what we were looking for, some peaceful and beautiful place. And this is what we found. The views from the balcony, we couldn't get enough of it, with the playful hummingbirds buzzing around our heads. If you manage to stay up late enough, the night sky is also quite a sight. I wish I had woke up during the night more often, to go outside watch the stars. The house was very clean and very well furnished, there was a really nice welcome basket, we cooked family dinners, the kids loved the pool table and the board games, we tried out the hot tub, and walked down to the Sacramento river trail to enjoy nature and wildlife. We were able to go do some horse-riding on the other side of Fairplay, go visit Breckenridge in the north, go experience our first rafting around Buena Vista in the south, and walk some easy mountain trails around Fairplay. Not sure if we'll have the opportunity to come back to Colorado one day, but, if we do, we'll be sure to check if Aimme&Chris's house is available, because all of us loved the place very much.
Although the location is a bit secluded, we were usually in the Breck area for any necessities. If you don’t wish to make that drive the town Dollar General had plenty as well. Make sure you have a capable transportation as it is needed during the snow months. Overall a very nice location
Amazing house and views. We had a great weekend stay, and loved the location. Hot tub, pool table and garage were all great. We loved the gas fireplace and stereo speakers, which allowed for great background music during our stay. It was very convenient for us to get to Breckenridge and Buena Vista, and loved hanging out in Fairplay. South Park Brewery, Millonzi's, and Java Moose are both worth checking out. It was even better being located off Hwy 285 and not having to deal with I-70 traffic. We'll definitely be back, hopefully next time with a larger group.
Property was located in a very gorgeous setting with spectacular views! Though we didn't spend a lot of time there because we left each day to do some site seeing ( leaf peeping). We did enjoy coming back to this beautiful cabin. We couldn't figure out how to lite the gas stove and figuring out the TV was challenging. Overall it was a very nice experience that we will cherish. Thank you for generosity.
This cabin was fantastic! It had everything that we needed and then some. The owners have thought of just about everything and were very helpful and fast to respond. The views from the deck will be with us for a long time and we will definitely be returning. The pool table was a hit! Thank you Chris and Aimee for all of your help and for making our trip memorable.
The house is just 2 hrs from Denver airport and 30 min south of Breckenridge. The house (and deck) have great views. We had six adults in the house and it was very comfortable for our group: hammock, deck, pool table, hot tub, washer/dryer and lots of space to spread out. Kitchen is well supplied. The mud room/entryway was great for muddy boots, damp coats, etc. The owners were extremely communicative, helpful and responsive. Great house.
Some of the most beautiful views of the valley and the leaves changing made this weekend so amazing
What a fun, relaxing and beautiful experience. The cabin was exactly as described, clean, and had everything we needed for a weekend away. The views from the floor to ceiling windows were amazing, making it the perfect location for relaxing on the porch for scenic views and unbelievable stargazing. Different family members were reading in the hammock, shooting pool and stretching out by the fireplace, all at the same time. We loved the experience and can’t wait to go back.
