You'll fall in love with the majestic mountain views and untouched natural beauty surrounding this gorgeous property. This classic mountain home is tucked into a secluded hillside outside Bryson City, making it the perfect combination of comfort and convenience. This retreat has been a favorite Bryson City rental cabin for awhile. Start the day outside on the upper deck gazing out towards the Smoky Mountains. There is nothing better than peering out over the powder-white sea of clouds, basking in the sunshine, and kicking back in one of the Adirondack chairs with a cup of coffee.

Newly upgraded, the Sun Eagle Lodge is a lavish accommodation with the majesty of the mountains and new furniture with the comforts you desire. The well-equipped, modern kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and all the necessary gadgets to make meal prep a breeze. Gather the group at the dining table or sit at the breakfast bar. Pause a moment to admire the view from inside, almost as spectacular as the one from the deck, thanks to the soaring wall of windows in the main living space. The downstairs bedroom has a king bed, a gas fireplace, a satellite TV, access to the deck and hot tub, and a luxurious en suite bathroom with a double vanity. The second bedroom has a king bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower/tub combination. The third bedroom in the open-concept loft has a queen bed, a satellite TV, and a bath conveniently across the hall.

Outdoor enthusiasts will be in paradise! Grab a set of binoculars and catch the hundreds of species of birds or take a walk along the tree-lined winding roads on Baines Mountain. After a day out exploring all the natural wonders that surround you, turn on the gas fireplace and get cozy on the sectional in front of the TV, or head back outside to enjoy that view once more. Grill some dinner on the top deck and dine alfresco, then cool off on the tree-shaded lower deck. Relax and take in the view from one of the rocking chairs, or gather and chat around the fire pit. At the end of the night, slip into the hot tub and admire the moonlit sky above.

Only issue we had was struggling to keep the hot tub at temp, but it is winter after all

The cabin is poorly maintained, hot tub never heat up, we never enjoyed. Grill and oven greased and not clean Cockroaches in the kitchen.

The location of the cabin and the set up of the cabin is very good. The response of the property managers is quick via text however, the issues that we had were not resolved during our stay. In the description of the cabin, there was no mention that the fireplace would not be turned on during our stay. The property manager said that if we get turned on late October, Which was after our stay. But there was nothing in the description said this would be. So I feel that that was a little deceptive. The kitchen pots and pans were horrible. They need to all be replaced. Our bathroom sink did not drain and the property manager did nothing to resolve the issue during our stay. The large sectional couch is not operational. The foot rest do not go up. The different sections are not locked into each other, the middle piece fell backwards, and we almost hit our head.If those things can be resolved, we would definitely stay again at this location because like I said before the actual location of the cabin and the layout of the cabin is very good

We stayed here with some family and friends and we found it very clean, peaceful and private. We really enjoyed the Mountain Views from the porch. We visited Bryson City and the Nantahala Outdoor Center during our stay and it was convenient to both locations.

I wish I could figure out how to upload photos to my review, because gross. This cabin was in a great location, about 18 minutes from a grocery store, and still remote enough to feel like you weren't in the middle of everything. HOWEVER, the place was barely surface-level clean when we arrived. There were three rotting pumpkins on the main deck that had obviously been there since October (for full reference, it was April 1st). The pumpkins were so rotten that they were flat and a gross yellow/black moldy color. The couch was also COVERED in gross spills/stains from drinks. We had to wipe down the entire couch prior to sitting on it. The dishwasher was FULL of half-washed dishes, and there was leftover soap scum on everything. Turns out the dishwasher was broken and not cleaning properly, so we had to wash everything by hand. Several of the towels had brown stains on them, so we ended up washing every towel prior to using any of them.Additionally, you have no hope of using the hot tub during a rain storm or any kind of misty situation because it's not under a fully covered portion of the deck. The hot tub is located underneath an uncovered portion of the main deck, so when it rains, the runoff from the top deck drips through the moldy/algae-covered top deck directly on top of the hot tub. This is an easy fix. the hot tub just needs to be moved under a fully covered portion of the deck. There's more, but I'm out of space.

The day before our planned anniversary weekend away, the rental company confirmed our trip sending us the key code to get in and all the information we needed. At 10:30 PM, the same day/night that we received confirmation, while I was sleeping I get a text saying I needed to call them urgently because they cancelled my trip due to hazardous driveway conditions. Keep in mind this was a storm that came in a week prior to our weekend away and not weather conditions that just happened within 24hrs. So they should have warned us about the driveway situation a lot sooner. Instead the confirmed we were good to go only to cancel at 10:30pm!! They tried to make it sound like they are making it up to me by telling me that they emailed me two other rental locations in the area of which neither house was up to par compared to the one I picked. After a 30 minute conversation on the phone, we found another home to rent with them and I went to bed again thinking everything was good only to wake up to another email that they put that house on hold because they weren’t sure if the roadway was good. So now we are at the day my husband and I were suppose to be leaving for our much needed weekend away and we had no place to go leaving me stressed and scrambling to find another place!!! Needless to say we canceled with them and will not ever rent with this company again!!! Such poor service!!!

We loved this house and location! The view on the main level porch is wonderful anytime of the day and the hot tub was great for the chilly nights. The road leading up to the house is about a half a mile of gravel. It's a bit narrow but not too steep. I don't have 4WD/AWD and my car did just fine. Bryson city is less than a 20 minute drive. We spent the day there for a train ride and walked about the town. I definitely recommend this place for your next autumn vacation!

Great views, clean, easy access. It made you feel secluded and away from everything, yet is close enough to head out for a bite to eat or a quick trip to the DG.

Our stay was peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful. We came from Chicago so I was worried about the drive up the mountain (we've had scary experiences before) but it was relatively easy. The way is paved almost all the way up and the home is easy to find. I especially enjoyed the sunrise view from the bed on the first floor. We would definitely come back and recommend to friends.

The Bryson City area has more to offer than can be crammed into one week. Add in a “mountain top” home and it’s the perfect place to vacation.

Beautiful view from two decks and the main open floor/ loft bedroom. It is super secluded. You can’t see another cabin or power line. It was amazing to just relax and take it in. Location was an easy drive to Bryson City and Deep Creek.
