Baldwin Lodge is a classic Maine lakefront (across the street) home on Sebago Lake designed for families. With space for 15 overnight guests, it’s ideal for 2–3 families vacationing together, or the whole extended family, offering a private dock, swimming, and room for everyone to spread out and relax.

This is the perfect home away from home -- a well-loved, memory-filled, no-frills, yet modernized cabin. Located on a secluded lot at the edge of the main drag of Long Beachneighborhoods, this location has everything you'll need for a relaxing, homey week or two where you're sure to make memories for a lifetime. For those looking to relax with a good book, you'll have private lakefront access. For the more adventurous, you'll be within an hour's drive to some of Maine's most beautiful areas. This is the kind of place where kids jump off the dock all day and adults finally exhale. Many of our guests return year after year.

Completely renovated in 2007, this cabin offers the unmistakably classic feel of the early 1900s with its native pine bead board combined with a the bright, clean, open feel of the new addition.

While the ground floor offers full wheelchair accessibility with a ramp off the back porch, wide hallways, and a walk-in shower with retractable seat, the two separate upstairs offer convenient children and adult wings with two bedrooms each. The master bedroom and sun room on the ground floor offer secluded sleeping space for two each with the sounds of nature and the cool night breeze right outside the window.

Good fit:
• Multi-family vacations
• Quiet gatherings
• Adults with kids
• Larger day groups enjoying the lake

Not a fit:
• Parties or events
• Large group celebrations
• Guests under 30 without families

The open floor plan in the kitchen will surely allow the room to serve as the gathering spot for your group for both mealtimes and game time. To accompany the kitchen roomy enough to seat 12, is the adjacent outdoor, screened-in dining area that comfortable seats 12-15. These spaces easily lend themselves to large family dinners followed by laughter-filled card or game nights.

Depending on the time of year you decide to visit Sebago, the cabin's location is ideal for a variety of outdoor activities.

For visitors in warmer months, the cabin's proximity to Sebago Lake is perfect. From the screened-in front porch, you can catch a glimpse of the private dock and swim area and the breath-taking sunrise while sipping your morning coffee. (We'd recommend adding a splash of local Smiling Hills Farm flavored milk.) Across the street you'll find a lake adventure for everyone. This rental property comes with a 40+ foot Thru-flow dock great for tanning, reading a book, lounging, napping, and is perfect for small children.

For the more adventuresome, there is a row boat, 4 kayaks and 2 SUPs. The floating raft also offers fun for all ages. Those who are water sports enthusiasts are also in luck. Long Beach Marina is conveniently located down the street, offering daily and weekly jet ski, boat and inflatables rentals. Our private water space offers one mooring for your rental, a short swim or paddle from the dock. On rainy days, the basement is set up as a game room, and can provide hours of entertainment with the ping pong and fooseball tables.

Those visiting in cooler months, can take advantage of numerous heaters added with renovations. The lake is accessible year-round for fishing, with local fishing guides easily available. Snowmobile and cross-country skiing trails can be found right out the back door of the cabin.

Fall is the perfect time for nature enthusiasts to visit. Colorful fall leaves provide the perfect backdrop for postcard-perfect photographs, and wildlife can always be found flitting or scurrying around the property.

You'll also find this rental secluded from the hustle and bustle of city life, but conveniently located to numerous destinations. The picturesque Portland Headlights are a quick 45-minute drive away, with numerous opportunities for exploring the Portland area. For those wishing to experience the cold but refreshing Atlantic Ocean, Old Orchard Beach is also 45 minutes away. Old Orchard Beach is the home of a famous boardwalk setting filled with food, shopping and carnival games and rides. Other destinations to take note of within a few hours driving distance include Kennebunkport, Cape Elizabeth, Ogunquit and the home of Maine-native and famous author, Stephen King.

Another fantastic stay in this lovely family lodge! The weather cooperated a bit better this year so we got (and enjoyed) more time by and on the lake. Still made time for a competitive mini-golf game and some trips to the local market for corn and eggs. A wonderful, multi-generational retreat!

Wonder amenities with a fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed. Loved having air conditioners in every bedroom and the main living space. Loved the screened in porches on both sides of the house. Loved the area in and all around the water.

The house was a great spot for our three-generational group. The location -- across from the private lakefront and a short walk into town -- was perfect, and the inside of the house offered multiple gathering places for different age and interest groups. As it was mostly gray and cloudy during our stay, the basement foosball and ping-pong were lifesavers; the kids just retreated down there and came up only for food. Jennie was responsive and helpful and the house was just as expected -- an old family treasure.

There was plenty of room for all 13 of us. Everyone loved the dock, paddleboarding and kayaking. We did have one incident before some of the group was leaving on Friday night as our daughter's foot went thru a soft board at the top of the ramp by the back door while she was holding it open for her kids to carry out stuff to put in the car. She reported it to the property manager, but don't know yet if she heard back. She wasn't hurt, but wanted to make them aware of it for future renters. All of us LOVED the accommodations and said they'd like to have another vacation there!! (The warnings about the busy road you have to cross are VERY accurate....not crazy about that hazard) The porches and large tables were great for our large group. Many memories made!!

The house was as described -- and more! Plenty of space for our four families, ranging in age from 13 - 82! Having 4 bathrooms was a nice bonus! The kitchen was perfect to have large meals with everyone, and the front porch was perfect for morning coffee, reading, and just relaxing. The lakefront was awesome - we made great use of the kayaks, paddle boards, and docks. The lake water was so clear and a nice temperature to enjoy swimming and floating on the rafts we had brought with us. The communication with the owner was great - before and during our arrival. Would highly recommend this house! You will not be disappointed.
