Stayed Jun 25, 2025Location was great! Watching the sunset from the deck was one of our favorite things to do! A short drive to see the horses. My kids asked if we could just buy a house and stay there forever.

Stayed Aug 4, 2024The property was clean, roomy and all basic needs covered. Enough space for family to have privacy but gather for games and music on the deck. My only suggestion would be for a better grill on the deck. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Jul 28, 2024We enjoyed our stay at this clean, cozy, and relaxing location. Muscovy ducks were the largest traffic jam to enter/exit the property's driveway. Inside, we had plenty of space for family time (including a bookshelf of provided games) and for individual time (in rooms, on the front porch, or on the deck overlooking the water). We'd stay here again.

Stayed Jul 3, 2024Great house in a great secluded spot! Loved that linens were included as most rentals on the island don't include them! I would say there could have been more kitchen utensils and pots and pans. Also could use a thorough cleaning, as the corners were quite dusty. (I found a used contact lens on the bedroom floor for example). Overall it was a great place and I'd stay again. As I said, I would inventory the kitchen and have a talk with the cleaning crew.

Stayed Jul 21, 2023We loved the house! It was the perfect location on Marsh Island just over the bridge from Chincoteague. The management company was great and sent us text updates as to special events happening since it was pony penning week. The views were amazing and the kids loved trying to catch crabs off the back dock. We even saw dolphins two of the mornings we were there! We spent a little more for this property but it was worth it. We are already planning our trip for next summer!

Stayed Aug 27, 2022We had a short but great stay at this home away from home. The local geese were attentive but not too intrusive, one of had a nest of eggs- we only regret we weren't there when the eggs hatched ! The view off the deck was beautiful, close to every thing in the area but far enough to be able to enjoy some peace. We would love to come back ,just bring plenty of mosquito spray !! Thank you Gail and Roger for sharing your home. Sincerely, Rita,Frank and family

Stayed Aug 12, 2022The house is cozy and comfortable. It is well furnished, clean and the kitchen is well stocked. It was very welcoming and the back deck overlooking the water was wonderful. When we first arrived, our greeting was quite a surprise. As we pulled up, a family of about 15 ducks waddled up to us. We weren't sure what to expect but learned that they reside on the island. They are very friendly and will eat out of your hand. They greatly added to the ambience of our experience. My family enjoyed seeing them, learning more about them, interacting with them. They enjoyed eating lettuce, corn, peas and grapes as bread is not good for them. They added a few dollars to our grocery bill but it was well worth the entertainment they provided. The home is delightful but for me, the ducks were the star of the show and I will go back to this home because of them.

Stayed Aug 19, 2022Quaint house with pleasant views from front and back. Clean and comfortable property with everything you need for a short or long stay. Will definitely try and book this property when we return to Chincoteague.
