I own the house with my husband, Dave. I manage the house and help you plan your vacation by providing all the information you need in my packet that I send you along with booklets, etc. We bought our house because we have both loved the ocean since we were kids. We had vacationed at Cape Cod with our family and dreamed about owning a house on the Rt.6A side of the Cape (the bay side, less crowded, very quaint). That dream came true in April 1994 when we purchased our home in private Scorton Shores! Once we glanced at our beach with that blue/green color that we love, we knew that this was meant to be. Our next plan was to completely renovate and add on which we did winter/spring of 2005. We, and our repeat renters, couldn't be happier with the changes! Our yard is beautifully landscaped with sun and shade. We love to walk from the house to the beach then to the Scorton Creek path when we get the chance to stay. Our renters feel as though it's their house and we hope you do, too!
My wife and I rented this house for a week with our 2.5 year old and had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and welcoming with everything one could need for a beach vacation. The private beach is lovely and close by and the house is just a short drive away from all kinds of good food options and fun activities in the area on a cloudy day.
Amazing. Literally a 10 min easy stroll from fantastic house to incredible beach. House was great, very well maintained (grounds were beautiful and green!!). I plan on going back :) Highlight was location and ease of being able to stay at house / beach for full stay.
We had a wonderful week at this property! House was as described and very clean. Nice furnishings and loved the big kitchen space! Rhonda was very easy to contact and excellent with information on the area. We loved the quiet neighborhood and pleasant walk to the beach. The beach was quiet and very scenic. For our group our only change would be for a queen bed in bedroom versus the bunk bed. We would definitely recommend this property! Thank you!
We have nothing but positive things to say! Things that stood out for our family about this cute home: Well-stocked kitchen with every tool you'd ever need, two living spaces, large dining table, washer and dryer was huge, outdoor shower, great outdoor seating. Excellent details and communication from host, as well as clear and easy to complete expectations. Everything is labeled, everything has a sign next to it. It was so nice to be able to refer to her lists and instructions for everything! I've never had a host who was so thorough and communicative, it was amazing. We'll be back!
This home was perfect for our week in East Sandwich! Everything was spotlessly clean and well cared for. The private beach was a short walk away and very quiet. Our host was very gracious and accommodating! We would happily stay here again!
Outstanding property and location on Cape Cod. Everything we needed for a week stay and more. Thanks Rhonda! We will be back soon.
Our family spent a week in the house, we loved everything, location is great, 10 minutes walk to the beach, and short driving distance to the center of Sandwich. House was clean, and had everything we needed for our vacation.
Came to the cape for a friends’ getaway. This house was very neat and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed the few times we cooked. We all felt very comfortable here! Thanks Rhonda!
After being separated by Covid for many months, my family decided that a family vacation was in order. We were looking for a private beach on Cape Cod with ample things to do when beach time was over for the day. The home at 17 Capt. Teach Road was perfect. The house situated within a short walk from a wonderful private beach was absolutely spotless when we arrived. Being a device heavy family from a northern clime, I was concerned about adequate bandwidth and ample AC. However, neither were a problem. We were comfortably cool when indoors and no one had any troubles getting on-line. The house was large enough for 6 adults; we were able to hang-out all together in the kitchen-dining room, the living room, and of course, outside. There are many excellent local restaurants and activities very close-by. We took advantage of kayaking in the near-by salt marsh and visited the Cape Cod National Seashore Park. My communications with the homeowner were very easy and I was well informed of her expectations. Overall, I highly recommend this listing if you want a nice house with an awesome private beach near excellent restaurants and activities. Thank you for the perfect family vacation.
This property and location were amazing! Nothing was left undone; it was clean, well appointed, comfortable, convenient and welcoming. The neighborhood was too-notch h and we felt very safe. Only a short walk to a beautiful spot on the seaside! Also a great location to drive to many attractions nearby, and not too far to go in any direction to explore the rest of the Cape! Rhonda was an amazing hostess; kind, thoughtful, thorough and very responsive and prompt. I highly recommend her and this property for a group gathering!
