Stayed Dec 31, 1969Had a spring girls' weekend here. Pleasantly surprised at how well equipped the kitchen was (though I could always use another cutting board or two and usually bring a just-in-case sharp knife with me). Lots of activities and restaurants within 15-35 min drive - we went to an alpaca farm one day. Enjoyed the great deck and spent a lot of time on the dock too, saying hello to both friendly wildlife and friendly neighbors.

Stayed Jul 17, 2022Great vacation rental with all of the amenities you need for a week at the lake. The location is hard to beat, close to everything and good swimming in the cove.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969An amazing, relaxing vacation. This house is the perfect spot to get away from it all. It has all the essentials that you need, just bring a book and your fishing rod and enjoy. The house is as pictured. Love the “welcome book” and the simple amenities (like cleaning supplies and paper goods) to make it an easy place to vacation. Location is ideal. Water views are spectacular. Quiet street and easy to get to. Whether you’re a veteran to smith mountain lake or a first timer, this is the perfect place to stay.

Stayed Apr 15, 2022Listing was as advertised! My family enjoyed our weekend there. The view of the lake was breathtaking and very peaceful to see every time we looked outside. My kids enjoyed sitting by dock watching the boats sail by and just chatting. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you could ask for. Many of the electrical outlets didn't work. Basement bedroom bed does need some work. Other than that, a very pleasant house to escape to.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We picked this house last minute as our other place fell through due to septic issues. We were happy to find a place so last minute but glad we found this house. The location was great, on a quiet cove and a quiet street. There is a nice dock out the back that we kayaked and SUPed from. Deer came through the yard every day, lots of fish splashing about in the lake - none of them came near our fishing rods (next time!). The house has lots of beds, couches seemed new and comfortable. Lots of TV's, a fooseball table, some board games, and a set of cornhole boards round out the entertainment at the house. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need (except a whisk oddly enough), even had lots of spices, sugar, oil, coffee filters and coffee - which was really nice. The only downside is bringing your own linens - it just took up lots of room in the car but you can rent from a local place I believe too. The house has a ton of pillows and blankets so that is good. The appliances are older but work just fine. All communication with management was quick and easy and had no troubles the entire week trip! You can pick up supplies at the White House Corner Store - basics plus wine/beer and lake supplies such as fishing lures, coolers, floaties, etc. Otherwise stop in Lynchburg at the Food Lion to get major groceries. We are already planning our summer holiday next year at Smith Mountain Lake.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We enjoyed our stay and the house was generally clean and comfortable, though some of the patio furniture could use an upgrade. The basement layout would be confusing for many but for families with kids, the setup works quite well as the room with the day bed has a pocket door and there are two alcoves perfect for a crib. Overall, the property had most everything we needed and was in a great spot on the lake.
