Stayed Nov 22, 2023Comfortable and cozy mountain home above a spectacular bend in the Coosawattee river. The resort community maintains an amazing wilderness feel. During the day, you would never know there were dozens of other homes hiding under the trees nearby. Only at night do you see the lights of the other homes through the thick forest of the resort. The sound of river rapids and flocks of geese filled the air and added to the stunning views up the river gorge, making our family Thanksgiving vacation a special one. But so did the gas-powered leaf blower at another home somewhere down the hillside... for several hours (?). The bedrooms were comfortable and private. The kids loved the air hockey table and corn hole. Entry and parking were easy, although VACASA doesn't send instructions until the day before. We had family coming in from three directions, all wanting to know how to get there and get in. Having that info a couple of days earlier would have eliminated a good bit of anxiety. We did not utilize any of the resort amenities, but will say that taking a short walk was quite a bit of exercise given the local terrain. Otherwise, this house was ideal for the 6 adults and 2 kids in our party.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house was great for the week we rented it. There was 7 of us, including the 3kids. They loved having you ng their own linving space and going up and down the stairs lol. Fully stocked kitchen was on point. However, the yard and porch areas need some attending to, the weeds were over growning the fence. Several spider cob webs and spiders found throught out the home, nothing dangerous just your common house spider. The balconies (2) both needed sweeping and/or pressure washing. The kids found an old trunk upstairs in the loft that was full of games and puzzels, but the contents were either empty or missing pieces. The dryer door will not open all the way( keeps hitting the door frame of the bi fold doors) but we made it work, just did smaller loads. STRONLY recommended a exterminator, several sights of waterbugs. None of these things hindered our trip at all as we live in the country and spiders and bugs are not uncommon.

Stayed Jul 1, 2023The kids loved it. Tubing was closed on Sunday and Vacasa policy said only 100$ extra night stay and we wanted to stay and do the 2 checkout but were quoted 347$ Happy but sad:)

Stayed Oct 21, 2022The cabin is located in a gated community. It’s up several winding roads, but they are well maintained. The driveway is somewhat hidden off the path and is a sharp left turn. It’s paved, but doesn’t ramp off just a drop. It’s rough on the vehicle and passenger as you clunk and bang up it. We spun out at one point trying to go up. The inside of the cabin is clean and adorable. It’s very homey feeling. King beds on the top and main floor. Queen and full on the lower. Nice lounge area on the lower too. We love the decks and fire pit. The outdoor area needs some TLC and cleaning up, but still very usable.

Stayed Oct 7, 2022We really enjoyed our weekend here for the apple festival. The entire house was very clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the bedrooms very roomy with comfortable beds. The 3-story layout with bedrooms and dens/sitting areas on all 3 was super-conducive for our multi-generation group to have separate spaces. It was nice to have the downstairs game room/second living room so our younger group could hang out away from those of us a little older (and ready for bed earlier!) Nice views from all 3 decks/porches. The downward sloping driveway looked pretty intimidating when we arrived, but was very manageable and plenty of room for our 3 larger vehicles to park side-by-side. Wish I had enough time to try the large spa tub in the upstairs master bath, but all bathrooms were roomy and we appreciated the complimentary soaps, shampoos and conditioners. Overall a very nice place to stay for our autumn weekend in the mountains.

Stayed Jul 1, 2022Our ? of 8 were looking for a place to meet for my husband's 70th birthday. We live in AL and the rest live in TN. We needed a place close to Atlanta cause one grandson had a baseball tournament in Atlanta and he and his dad would be going back and forth. We settled on this place for a long 3 night stay weekend. We use to could pull up the address and check out more info. Since you don't give out the address until after we booked we didn't realize the cabin was within a gated community with the cabin being 8 to 10 minutes away from the gate. The roads were very curvy and narrow and dangerous. We loved the cabin but the location was less than desirable. The map we got at the gate was terrible and we got lost finding our cabin. The roads were not marked well. Also the driveway was steep and parking was compact. After we booked we were told we HAD TO buy an amenity card to use the swimming pools and rec center. We didn't use the card. I had several questions before our stay. I had to email my questions to Vacasa and it would be a day or 2 before I got an answer. Then I was finally was given phone numbers after my emails. Usually when I called, no one knew the answers. This going back and forth was very dissapointing and stressful. I have used VRBO many times and never had this much trouble. I like to talk to people, especially the owners, not through emails or texts from management companies. We enjoyed the cabin. It had 3 floors so each family had their own floor. The view from the back porch was beautiful. We could hear the river flowing. Getting to the river was a challenge but the grandkids loved looking for mud puppies and crawfish.. the restaurants in Ellijay were very good, even though we grilled out at the cabin most of the time. We also enjoyed the Ellijay River rafting. We will probably vacation again around the area but not in the Coosawattee River Resort.
