Stayed Aug 29, 2025I’ll start with all of the things we enjoyed. The location was great! The house is somewhat secluded and provided beautiful views. The outside had plenty of room for multiple vehicles to park. The kitchen was well stocked with cleaning supplies and dishes. I would just suggest having a dish rag or two for wiping down counters and tables. There was a sponge and a couple of larger dish towels, but no dish rags. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were good sizes. There were a few issues we had during our stay. The rooms listed as having no A/C are labeled incorrectly in the photos. The listing shows two queen beds while it was actually two of the king beds. When we arrived, those rooms were 80 but we opened windows and turned on the fans to help cool them down. The internet didn’t work for our entire stay. The TVs showed a loading symbol and phones and other devices also were unable to work with the WiFi provided. The entire bottom floor of the house smelled of mice, we saw a mouse inside on our first day, heard mice inside during the night, and saw mouse droppings in several areas of the house. There also isn’t any dumpster for trash and we were required to haul the trash to another location that had a dumpster. The house and location have potential to be a great mountain getaway; however, we would not return due to the mouse infestation.

Stayed Jul 31, 2025As stated in other reviews the house was not clean especially the kitchen. Roaches in bottom floor bathroom. The Evolve description list house as suitable for elderly, bedroom and bathroom in main floor. This is false. There are stairs up to the first level bedroom and bathroom. Two flights of stairs to upper level bedrooms and bathroom. Two flights of stairs to downstairs bedroom and bathroom. One of our elderly ladies fell coming down the stairs and broke 9 ribs. She, her husband and a friend drove home on Monday. The rest of us left Tuesday morning cutting our trip short by one day. We were supposed to stay there until Wednesday. I informed the host that my friend had fallen and was in the hospital and I also called her as we were leaving Tuesday morning. I hope the VRBO and Evolve need to update their descriptions to state it is NOT suitable for elderly. Disappointed in our stay. I will say the house location is great and the views and sunsets are great.

Stayed Jul 16, 20254 story house with A/C on only 3 floors. 2 king beds on floor with no A/CPOOP diapers, dirty laundry, dirty dishes, and broken glass were left from previous tenantsFloors were not swept or moppedTrash left in hot tubDirty sheets on at least 1 bedEmailed and called host multiple times with no email response and generic answers via phone callRequested a refund of cleaning fees but pending responseIt’s a beautiful house/property with amazing views and wildlife all around. We enjoyed the amenities but cleanliness and responsiveness from host were below expectation.

Stayed May 3, 2024The place was not clean Floor had not been mopped or swept The tables had not been dusted Spots I. The comforter Molded pan in the oven No trash bags Told us to take trash out but no code to trash cab so she told us to take it back to Ruidoso and dump in a trash cabin there. Didn’t want to do that because most people there pay for their cans Si she told us to leave in house not sure when it would be clean agai. So we left it u. The garage Back door of house was u locked when we go there Could not get on I tee er with the code they left. Thier we’re positives it was plenty big enough and great location. I think we should not have to pay for the cleaning fee for sure
