Scenic 5BR Retreat w/Epic Views • 5 Min to Downtown Durango

Very nice house in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room to spread out but also large spaces (living room, deck, outside firepit) for everyone to come together. Just as advertised and just what we needed.

This is a great property in Durango offering an abundance of space for multiple guests and quite a bit of driveway space. We were part of the Hummer Club of America doing a 3-Day event in the area. We were able to fit all of our larger vehicles on the driveway which was a plus. The extra garage space came in handy for unloading, tools, etc. Really enjoyed this place and will probably stay there again for next year's event. Communication was a great with the owners.

Very clean. Great place to stay while visiting Durango with friends

The house was very nice, well stocked and in a good location. Here are a couple things to know. The upstairs beds are VERY firm. Some people like that, we did not. It was 85-90 degrees when we stayed there and it's a 3 story house. With that being said the NEST thermostat is located on the 2nd floor and when it doesn't see motion it reverts back to 75 degrees. That doesn't sound too bad however it takes hours to get the house cooled down and the 3rd floor is always warm. They do have portable AC units in the upstairs bedrooms and they do help if you keep the doors closed and run them all day. However they are noisy and the compressor cycles often. If you are a light sleeper like us it's a problem.Overall we had a good experience and our complaints are just our personal prefinance.

The view is breathtaking. We’ve been to Durango several times, but always staying in hotels, or with family nearby. Galaxy Gateway was a great way to experience Durango at a more relaxed pace. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. We loved that the bedrooms were at different levels than the kitchen and family room so the early risers (me) didn’t disturb the late sleepers (everyone else). The game room in the garage was fun for the kids and gave the adults time to get ready for our excursions or fix meals. In the evening we enjoyed relaxing on the main deck facing northeast as the day cooled. Our hosts were prompt to answer our questions before our stay, and they made us feel welcome during our stay.

Great floorpan...ping pong table in garage was a real hit!...outdoor decks provided beautiful views...big, functional kitchen...good location to access Purgatory, Narrow Gauge, Durango Hot Springs and the Chuckwagon Dinner.

This house is great for groups and families. It has beautiful views and is very well maintained. Communication is effortless, and prompt. The host's rules are common-sense, making for a relaxing stay.

The property is beautiful and well-maintained. The views are stunning. Becky was very responsive when we had a couple of questions. We really appreciated the initial supply of products (washer pods, dishwasher pods, paper towels, etc.)--especially that 2 reusable shopping bags were provided. A very nice touch.

We had 9 adults and the property was exactly as it says. Very clean.

Overall nice house, really nice views. Saw a double rainbow off the porch.Wasn't as close to downtown as we had hoped.

We had a wonderful stay at the Galaxy Getaway! Becky is the most friendly and gracious host! The house is huge and has every amenity we needed! Our kids absolutely loved the mortal combat arcade game in the garage! It was a big hit! The house was very clean and well maintained! The location was perfect with amazing views! Overall this was by far the best VRBO we have rented! I highly recommend Galaxy Getaway!
