Sassy Seas HideAway, a relaxing cottage in a quiet neighborhood

JC was an excellent Host. Very communicative and accommodating to our needs!!

The home was very clean & well stocked. Loved the area - really peaceful & quiet. We didn’t try to go to the water but not sure how to (easily) without walking across private property.Overall, we really liked the home & would go back. It was much closer (to our daily destinations) than where we normally stay convenient to fuel & restaurants. The pictures are pretty accurate - looks a little better in the picture but it’s still nice. We were all ‘able’ adults so I didn’t think about the stairs up to the house being an issue but with older adults & children.. they could be, especially with little to no outside lighting. A Hickory Nut tree in the front yard was an issue for us. We were at Cruising the Coast (early Oct) with a 1958 car & the tree was in full swing! Beware your vehicles, heads & anything else you don’t want dented.

Enjoyed our stay!!!! The inside was very clean!!! Beds were very comfortable!!! The porch/deck was very nice but needs to be pressure washed! Overall it was very nice!!! The neighborhood very quiet!!!

We were visiting for a World Series softball tournament. The location was near the sports complex which was great! This is NOT waterfront. There was a huge tree blocking the water view and it’s across the street and through another yard to get to waterfront. Luckily one of our teammates were waterfront and the kids got to go enjoy it. There was bad weather during our stay and the electricity must’ve gone out while we were away because the alarm system kept beeping when we got back. We communicated with the owner and he promptly arranged for it to be taken care of. The house was very clean and met our needs. I had to replenish paper towels and toilet paper. Not a big deal but usually it’s supplied for us in VRBO homes. Also, the batteries were dead or missing in several remotes but we made it work. This area must have terrible water because after you take a shower or bath, your skin still feels like it’s slimy or soapy. No fault of the owner but just to warn others it’s the water. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were awful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful, well kept home with an ocean view. Great location to beaches and a short trek to New Orleans and Biloxi. We had an absolute blast! The owners were great at communicating as well. We would definitely book here again!

The house is spectacular, neighbors are very friendly, such a peaceful location away from hustle and bustle. For swimming you would need to go to the City Beach but the beach in front of the property is great for walking, neighbors pointed us towards the part for walking. Very clean, all of accessories, accoutrements, showers fully stocked, two thumbs up.

My sister and I brought our Mom to Ocean Springs for her sister’s 80th birthday party. This property was exactly as described. Nice, clean and on a very quiet street - it was absolutely perfect. Our only regret? That we didn’t have longer to stay. We’ll be back!

We very much enjoyed our visit to Sassy Seas! The neighborhood is quiet, and there is a nice view of the Gulf from the front porch; I really enjoyed coffee time out there with my husband! Although you can walk to the shore by traversing a property across the street, there is no place to sit and enjoy the view out there. We did spend a lot of driving time to and from the beach and shops/restaurants in Ocean Springs proper, but didn’t mind. The house itself is laid out well, clean and with good amenities. My husband particularly enjoyed the shower, and the main living area was big enough to watch movies with our teens in the evenings. It was great having laundry facilities for washing beach towels. Thanks for the extra throw blankets, too! One can never have enough, Comfy beds, nice space, kitchen, and peace and quiet. That’s what I call a vacation!
