    The unit was dated, which is not an issue, that can be seen in the pictures. What the pictures didn’t show was that the unit appeared to have water damage at some time that was not completely renovated. The cabinets above the stove had pulled and caused the drywall to seperate, the bottom of the countertop was disintegrating, there was moldy bread behind a piece of furniture, the rails in the pull out bed were broken, there were no extra trash bags or toilet paper. Aside from the shortcoming in the unit, there was construction on the beach, everyday and dozers running all night right outside the unit. There was no prior notification of the construction. When I emailed the rental agency “Dauphin Island Real Estate” in response to their “welcome” email, I received no response. Overall while the unit was not uninhabitable, there were definite shortcomings, and the lack of response from the rental agency was quite disheartening.
