The house is beautiful and clean. The owners are extremely friendly, and genuinely want you to have a comfortable stay. A little more attention to the small details will go a long way is making this a five-star property. Specifically, a little more attention to the kitchen small appliances, better quality knives (dull knives are very dangerous), and other small details. Provide toilet paper and paper towels.

Beautiful house with tons of room for everyone.

My fiance and I booked this house for a long weekend trip with all of our friends to celebrate our upcoming wedding and it was the perfect place for all of us! We had 22 people stay and everyone gave multiple compliments about how big and spacious every room was. The pictures truly do not even come close to showing how spacious every single room was. The pool and hot tub also made for a great time! The walkability to the beach access and great restaurants is truly amazing when traveling with such a big group. We even had a friend leave a shirt on accident and the owners are sending it back for free, even though we offered to pay for shipping. They truly are great communicators and made the whole check in and booking process simple. I would 100% book again!

Property was just as pictured and described. Beautiful home with lots of room and everything you could need. Host was absolutely fantastic and very responsive. We had an issue with the stove keeping temp and he responded right away and fixed it on the spot. We had some folks leave items behind and he reached out to find out if they belonged to us and agreed to ship them to us. Host is great and very honest!

The overall stay and property was great! There was plenty of room for our large family and the large kitchen was great for cooking. A couple of things we did notice was that some of the furniture in the living room and some of the beds could be replaced a few people did not sleep well due to the beds. Also the cleanliness could have been better. It appeared the cleaners just did a quick surface clean and there was mold in the some of the bathrooms. Overall though would stay there again.

It was a perfect home for our children and grandchildren to gather- each family had their own room and bathroom, the bunk room was a bonus for the kids.We have a grandson who has cerebral palsy the elevator and large spaces helped him to be more independent. The weather that week was extremely hot and humid which made the pool and ocean a hit! There was a special feel to the home, we loved it and will cherish the memories made. Interesting thing, 8 years ago we gathered as a family in a large home on the beach in Oregon, its name was also Sand Castle- the name must be good luck for our family! It was as good as advertised, plenty of room to relax after a long day at the beach. Very good kitchen with the double refrigerator’s & microwave’s extra large stove. Just a great place for our group.

We enjoyed the large spaces and neighborhood! We took full advantage of the lovely decks!!!Some of the TVs are not working. In the kitchen need more pots pans(not rusted) and pool needs cleaning! We would return here!! Thank you for making the process so easy.

Perfect amount of space for everyone!

We rented this beautiful home for our family to stay in during our son’s wedding. It was a wonderful experience being able to have parents, grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins under the same roof. We had a lovely visit. It was large enough to accommodate us very comfortably with room to spare. Incredibly responsive hosts! Would highly recommend!

We brought down a group of runners and their families for the BAM Oak Island Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1 mile. This was the PERFECT house to accommodate our group. Very clean and pretty. The hot tub was a huge hit! The kitchen and dining spaces were great for preparing and serving large meals. The bedrooms and living spaces were very comfortable! The owners were great and quick to respond. Will definitely stay at the Sandcastle house again!

The owners were very responsive and attentive. The kitchen was well equipped.

There was so much space for people to be doing different activities in several areas of the house. Enough rooms and bathrooms that there was never any issues with any cramping of style. Highly recommend

This was our third year staying at the Sand Castle and it's always been a great experience. Already looking forward to next year!

Huge home....we each had our own room....awesome!

We had a family reunion here and it was a blast! The house had everything we needed, and the location was amazing. So close to the ocean, great beach town. We will definitely stay again!

The house is amazing! There is so much room and everything is absolutely perfect! We had 23 people stay for a long weekend and had no issues! Larry and Rose are great to work with! We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area!

The rooms are spacious and the home is comfortable. Larry was very responsive to repair issues that surfaced. I recommend this property.

Our trip at oak island beach with family was so enjoyable. However, our rental was unacceptable ….. The house itself was big and spacious and well stocked. However, it is roach infested, very dirty mold in the bathrooms and showers many of the appliances were not working or broken and very unclean. The ice maker not working, one side of oven was broken, hot tub and pool needed attention, outside grill not cleaned rusted out. Though the owner responded to our concerns the problems were unresolved. I have stayed and rented many properties. This is the first time I’ve had issues of these concerns and so I would not stay here again or Recommend this home to anyone.

We all truly enjoyed our stay! The owners communicated very well, and the house was amazing!!!!!! We will definitely book again.
