We very much liked this property: very clean, nice layout, right on one of the canals, perfect for 4 people. It was a little ways from the main “hustle & bustle” areas of Venice, so it would be considered a more quiet area of the city, but then you had to do a little more walking to get to where you wanted to go (which wasn’t so bad, because we got to see more!). One thing I would highly stress, and not just for this specific property but any in Venice: Do Not leave your windows open at night - the mosquitoes are really bad and they come out primarily at night. We made this mistake the first night and learned our lesson the hard way! Overall great trip, loved the city, and would stay at this property again in the future.
Across the Grand Canal from St. Mark's. The apartment allows for quiet after a busy day of sightseeing. Next door to restaurants and Guggenheim, still plenty to see close by. Would go back for sure!
We loved this Venice apartment - clean, great location in a picturesque part of Venice that was not amidst crowds ( but still centrally located). Had all the needed amenities and attentive host.
Excellent, well-equipped apartment in Dorsoduro, thank you.
This is the third time we stayed in the area and this is the best place we have stayed. Spacious, comfortable, well furnished with classic furnitures and decors and a modern kitchen with practical essentials. Giorgia was very accommodating for us to check in and provided us with information about good places to eat. Close to two boat stops with various routes to sight seeing and train station. Grocery 5 min away. Close to everything but away from packs of people. Will absolutely like to stay again.
We loved it. The ambiance was great. Sitting in front of an open window, catching the morning sun, listening to the activity along the canal, and exchanging greetings with the neighbor across across the canal. Our mornings were so lovely. What a great stay. What an amazing city.
First, the positives: it is well located with an easy walk to the Academia and Peggy Guggenheim Museums. Giorgia was easy to communicate with, and willingly accommodated our change of schedule. Negatives: we did not have any hot water when we arrived, and had to call Giorgia twice to figure out how to get hot water. That could have been done better when we checked in. Since most of the places we wanted to visit were on the other side of the Grand Canal, it was a good 20+ minute walk via the Academia Bridge. Several light bulbs were burned out. I would give it an overall rating of B-. Nevertheless, we enjoyed being in Venice.
