Salty Shores Jervis Bay - 3 Mins to Beach

We had a terrible experience with Professional Holiday Homes. Our holiday rental wasn't cleaned on time, and PHH offered unsuitable alternative accommodations. They promised a late checkout, but it wasn't honoured. Their rental agreement terms are unreasonable (see below), and they were difficult to contact. They can effectively delay check-in for your entire stay and not be liable. Despite agreeing to compensate us, they didn’t pay us the promised amount and ignored follow-ups/ghosted us. We strongly advise against staying with Professional Holiday Homes. Check-in is from 3:00 pm. Check-out is 10:00 am. NOTE: These times may be adjusted at our discretion. There will be no refund or credit should these times be adjusted after you have booked the property... There will be no refund or credit if a property is not ready at the said time.

We didn't have a great start to our stay as even though we arrived at 3pm-ish, we realised that the property hadn't been cleaned at all since the last group had been in - beds weren't made, bathroom had dirty towels on the floor, kitchen items were on the benches etc. My family was really excited to settle in, but I ended up having to call the management company and after a 10min wait on hold trying to get through, they organised for cleaners to come. We had to leave and didn't end up checking in until almost 6pm and by that time, the kids were hungry, tired and grumpy which didn't make a great start to our holiday.The quick clean was OK - there were a couple of things not quite right and floors were still pretty dirty but on the phone they said we would be compensated, so I waited to hear back. I didn't hear back for 36 hours and so I messaged them twice and didn't hear back for another 2 days. I felt like I'd been ghosted, so called and then was offered a late check-out but no monetary compensation for the lost time and hassle.On the day that we were checking out, the cleaner came to the front door at 10am and asked us to vacate. We told her that we were told that we could have a 1pm checkout but she said she hadn't been told and had made her day there and had another job lined up later. I did feel for her, but we weren't ready to check out at that point.Other than the poor communication and management, the place was really great and walk to the beach was excellent.

A well thought out and set up holiday let. The house was well stocked for a beach holiday with kids, for example plenty of comfortable space, kitchen had plenty of cooking and dining things and a good selection of games. Not to mention the close proximity to the beach.

We loved staying here. It’s a beautiful home, with plenty of room and is very close to the beach. The house was very clean and quiet. We can’t wait to stay again.

The house was modern, clean & the area was quiet which was good. My wife said this was the best house on the street.

Felt like home away from home. Fantastic location near the beach and amenities. House adequately stocked for reading, cooking and resting.

This property was everything we wanted in holiday accommodation. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The location was ideal being only a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach and not far from local attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider staying there again.
