Saddlehorn Retreat

We loved our stay. A great place and super close to the ski area. A true find in Crested Butte!

We had an incredible 7-day stay at this blue mountain ski lodge situated just north of the Crested Butte Mountain Resort. We were comfortably situated even with 7 adults and 3 children. There were plenty of bathrooms and beds for everyone. The lodge is more spacious than the pictures show with an open floor concept that flows from room to room. The extra living room with its own gas fireplace was an awesome escape. The main living room also boasts an impressive wood fireplace and rock chimney. The private outdoor hot tub was clean and well kept and always hot. There were plenty of linens, towels, and hot tub towels for everyone for the whole week. The dining room table situated everyone comfortably. We were all cozy and comfortable in this tastefully decorated and homey ski lodge! An amazing additional feature was the snow crews that kept the roads (& driveways!) cleared of piling snow. They also shoveled the decks, including the back deck to the hot tub! The lodge is within a few short minutes by car or walking to get to the chairlifts at the base (Red Lady or Silver Queen). The First Tracks option is a free on-demand shuttle to get you to town or the resort! We also found easily accessible free (or paid) parking and areas for skier drop-off and pickup. It was all so close to the lodge! The town of Crested Butte was also not far away and offered easy access for groceries, shopping, church, and activities. Overall, a fantastic landing spot for your winter getaway!

We had a group of 8 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone, from beds, dining area, living room, and storage for ski equipment in the mudroom. The house was exactly as listed and had some fabulous views! Would definitely stay here again!

Property was as advertised/described- easy location to drop off skiers at base (never used shuttle). Large mud room was great for lots of gear- very nice property for our group. Management very responsive to roof ice issue by hot tub.

Great layout for two families/ great location.

We had a great experience at this property. The home had everything we needed and was a close 2 mins drive to the mountain. We would definitely stay here again when we return to CB.

We loved staying at this property while we were in Crested Butte! The house is literally 2 min from the base of the mountain and made for easy access to the slopes! The mud room' might have been the best part!! Plenty of room to store all our skiis and boots and jackets after everyday in the snow! 100% recommend. And Iron Horse was great to work with as well, Communication on point!

This place was perfect for our group of three families. We loved hanging out in the open kitchen/living room area. Great location, just a few minutes from downtown. Beautiful views from the house, pretty much every window had a gorgeous view. The only thing we had a VERY MINOR issue with was the thermostat. We couldn't figure out how to lower the temperature at night, so it got really hot in the rooms. The house was spotless, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
