Casa Bacci was probably built around the end of the 19th century as farmhouse servicing the adjacent Villa Bacci which was bought by the owner’s great grandfather in 1899. It sits on a hill overlooking the village of Porto Azzurro with magnificent views over the harbour, the Capoliveri hills and the Stella gulf. On clear days it is possible to see the isles of the Tuscan archipelago, Pianosa and Giglio as well as Corsica.
The house is surrounded by its own land, fields and vineyard gently sloping towards the sea and in a unique environmental setting within National Park borders offering maximum quiet even in peak tourist season while only five minutes away from the hustle and bustle of town.
This spacious farmhouse apartment on the first floor can lodge up to 6 guests (1 double room + 1 twin room + 1 bunk room). It has offers a shaded balcony with mountain views which is perfect for summer breakfasts. The apartment also has its own portion of garden with bbq and outdoor furniture for your summer dinners on the side of the house, at the bottom of the access stairs.
We also have an apartment on the ground floor (4 pax) which can suit large groups wishing to spend their holidays together while enjoying their own privacy.

We had a beautiful stay. The check in process was a bit unclear and due to our change in flights it would have been nice if there was a security code for late check in. We also had to pay for sheets towels and a cleaning fee upfront which was unheard of for us. We feel the steepness and condition of the road was not properly described prior to arrival. It can be very dangerous at night if you're not careful. The host Chiara was very helpful in answering any questions we had and eased the check out process. We wished we had longer on the island. It was absolutely beautiful. From the residence you could see the stars very well at night and every morning you are greeted by sunshine and sounds of nature. It was also conveniently located to porto azzuro but almost everywhere required a car which made parking very difficult. Overall we had a lovely time!

The house is set above Porto Azzurro with wonderful views in two directions. It is a 5 minute drive down to the coast road, from where it is easy to explore the local area. We stayed in the upper level, which is spacious and full of character. The two bathrooms are helpful when staying with children. There is small balcony space at the back which is very useful in the heat (we stayed in July). The communication with the owner was excellent and any issues were dealt with very quickly. All in all, a lovely place to stay.

Our family group, parts of which live abroad, met for a week-long reunion at Casa Bacci in late June. The apartment was very clean and provided all the comforts we needed, the kitchen was fully equipped (very much needed for a family), the atmosphere cozy. We liked the rustic furniture, the outdoor shower and the outside table where we spent countless hours chatting while enjoying a good meal and a glass of wine. Contact with owners was very easy, as well as check-in/check-out. I recommend Casa Bacci to anyone looking for a true Tuscan experience. Riccardo and family

We were a company of six persons who stayed for one week at Casa Bacci. We all loved the stay. The home is cosy, with perfect view of Porto Azzurro and the ocean. The home has the necessities one needs. There is three fairly big bedrooms, two bathrooms that are fully functional and a kitchen with good fridge/freezer and gas oven. The AC worked great which was necessary in mid-day. There's also a barbecue if for the perfect stay-at-home dinners. To get to the house, a car is more or less necessary but given Elba curvey rodes and lack of pavements, you should have a car anyways when visiting the island. There are good parking possibilities just at the front of the house so you do not need to think about what to do with the car. As soon as any questions arose, the landlord (Chiara) and Giovanni where there to assist. The swift and helpful assistance made the stay even greater. All in all, this is definitely a great home which I can highly recommend if one is traveling to Elba!

This apartment was very spacious for us (2 parents, 2 children 8+10y) and is located on first floor of a beautiful historic house. Wonderful high ceilings, all furnishing is very tasteful and stylish and the apartment was clean, very well maintained and very well equipped. Small rear balcony with a great view of the hills that was adequate for us 4 but will not seat any 5th person. Beautiful view of Porto Azzurro, Capoliveri and the ocean. Location is in the countryside, very quiet, a 5 min drive to downtown Porto Azzurro (where parking can be really tedious) and a 10 min drive to Barabarca and other beaches. You can also park half way on the road to P.A. and then take a nice 10min walk to downtown P.A. The owner is very efficient, friendly and helpful, as is the local caretaker. Description is accurate and the apartment is even more beautiful than the photos would suggest. Highly recommended !

We had a really good time in Casa Bacchi. The apartement was very nice and cosy, well equipped, clean and with comfortable beds. The place was peaceful, with a stunning view, and not too far from the nearest town and some nice beaches. We all fell in love with beautiful Elba and would like to come back both to Elba and Casa Bacchi.

Casa bacci is situated between vine-yards and fields in the back of Porto Azzurro. The only house around is the house of the owner. So it is a absolutely silent place, you will hear only hear birds and other animals. The view is wonderful, out of the windows and also in the garden you can look down to Porto Azzurro, the sea and also to Capoliveri on the other side. The house has the charme of an old tuscan farmhouse, but you won´t miss any- thing. There are modern bath-rooms, a kitchen where you find everything you need, and also climatisation / heating in the rooms. There is even a piece of garden, belonging to you, where you will find a barbecue, table and chairs for sitting outside. The house was absolutely clean, and the owner provides perfect and very sympatic service, in the case of problems you would find help at any time. The house can be recommended to everybody, who loves nature and is looking for a silent place. Down in Porto Azzurro you will find good restaurants and shops providing everything you need for holiday. We enjoyed our holiday, and are planning another one at casa bacci next year.

We stayed here on the first floor appartment with our 3 children for a week. We were very content with the appartment; it is very well equiped (we have had other experiences!) in the kitchen, there is window protection for mosquitos, the airco is a absolute pleasure especially in the childrens room with the bunkbed, the view on the sea is great. It is hard to think of anything that can be improved here, okay, the colours of the television are bad. We enjoyed snorkling on several beaches, the guide in the house with all beaches is very handy. The garden with this appartment is big and has a lot of privacy. Also the washing machine and Gas- BBQ come in handy. I think we may return here one day and I already recommended it to my friends.
