Nice stay overall. There were a few things needing attention. Bathroom doors dud nit shut or lock properly, a cabinet door was broke, the floors were in need of leveling. Otherwise it was a nice, well equipped cabin.
We had a great Christmas celebration. The cabin's kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook our Christmas eve and Christmas dinners without any problem. The cabin was very comfortable. We found the beds a bit too firm for our liking but you can't have everything. All in all we loved the location and the cabin and would stay again. Thank you for making Christmas 2021 a memorable one!
This place was fantastic the house was bigger than we anticipated and for a great price you really can’t beat it.
We loved the location and the house was laid out for fun and entertaining. Everything you need is there, including an impeccable hot tub, beautiful fireplace andultiple decks. The only drawback is that it is very damp. The house smells very musty and nothing in it dries (i.e. paper, towels). The house is built over a small stream ( Running Brook is real) and gets minimal sunlight to dry things out. If the owners were to invest in significant dehumidifier system(s) rather than the one unit in the older side, it would be almost perfect. The drive up to the location could be intimidating but we got used to it after one round trip. It's really special, so if the dampness doesn't bother you it's a gem!
This is a nice place for 4-6 people. The listing needs to say that the addition has a separate entrance from the house. The 2nd bathroom is also in this unattached addition. Also the living room was small. There were only 4 of us & we had to pull a chair in to gather in the living room. The deck areas are great & the setting is charming! There is a nice amount of room on the deck. Our original plan was for extra family to come & this place would not have worked well for 8-10 people.
The home was sufficiently clean but could certainly use some updates. The WiFi went out within 30 minutes of check-in so tv wasn’t an option. Cell service is spotty at very best, but that’s just the nature of a cabin in the mountains.
Great private yet convenient location and unique place. However, insects were an issue with wasps everywhere outside and roaches inside. There was also a faulty smoke alarm that went off in the middle of the night which detracted from the what could have been peaceful experience.
We had an great experience staying at Running Brook! The management company was very accommodating and so easy to work with. The house was clean and had everything we could have needed. We will definitely be coming back!
very rustic. Property old and needs a deep cleaning (lots of dust under beds, cobwebs in corners / bathtubs, etc) smelled like moth balls and mildew.. if looking for rustic cabin at good price - good choice. If need more may not be place for you.
We have the most amazing time! The property was clean and beautifully placed. Could not have asked for a better stay.
