Experience country charm in the heart of Vermont ski country at this gorgeous farmhouse. Just across the road from Amherst Lake, this pastoral paradise boasts a furnished courtyard patio for outdoor living, a private hot tub, a game room, and an attached solarium with a bar.
Fire up the gas grill out on the patio for alfresco dining, and later, gather around the firepit for starlight s'mores and conversation. After a day exploring the slopes or backwoods of Vermont, rest your legs in the bubbling, private hot tub before rinsing off and heading inside to start dinner. The kitchen has all major appliances for efficiently handling at-home meals, plus a dishwasher for stress-free cleanup. Keep the cook company in the kitchen at the island breakfast bar, and when it's time to eat, head into the dining room.
Head downstairs to the game room for some friendly competition with a few rounds of pool, or grab a cold drink and a seat at the bar to watch the game on the smart TV. Make the most of sunny weather and recharge in the attached solarium. Quiet mornings can be enjoyed with a cup of coffee on the front porch while listening to the babbling sounds of the brook running across the street.

The house was centrally located equal distance between Okemo and Killington ski mountains. It was a 25-30 minute drive to restaurants and ski fun at both places. The house set up is so fabulous and interesting! So many wonderful places for groups to be together or separate. Teenagers loved the basement with all the fun games to play together. Hot tub was great, but just a tidbit the buttons have no writing on them any longer so tough to get it to the settings you desire. Especially loved the outdoor firepit and was so fun with snow coming down. One drawback is the master bedroom bathroom both the sink and the bathtub fill up with water instantly which is rather unsanitary. Would be amazing if those could be fixed.
Well appointed house with lots of room and perfect jumping off point for mountains and sightseeing. Great options in the house for family fun and very stylish. Location is not to be beaten.
Have had a few bad experiences with other companies. Showed up prepared for the worst. First off, the place is absolutely charming. Love the great room with the handhewn beams and the woodstove. The place was spotless and well provisioned. Beds were really comfy. Furniture was a little meh but we didn't care. Went to this awesome market in Woodstock “The Woodstock market” You have to check it out. Could shop there every day. We cooked up a gourmet meal and cracked an awesome bottle of red- even found some spices we had overlooked. There is a cozy little hot tub which was awesome after our morning walk up the Mountain Road next door. Had a blast. Would totally repeat. They even had an awesome shuffleboard table. Owners truly are paying attention and care about the place. Had some much needed and totally relaxing down time.
I love the indoor hot tub the pool table. The whole entire thing was beautiful. The only downfall is it’s right next to a highway so you can hear cars going by and there are neighbors close by but it was still very peaceful and we had an amazing time and we would definitely go back Again in the future
We enjoyed a great family getaway at Skifarm. The house offers lots of space and was very clean, the family room is amazing and has an awesome wood stove and comfortable furniture, wifi worked well, the beds were super comfy. Hot tub was fun and we enjoyed using it after a day outdoors. The kitchen has a healthy supply of all the essentials and there is a good size dining room. Lots to do in the area and so close to Killington. We would definitely go back to Skifarm.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Ski Farm for a memorable fall family escape, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The cozy atmosphere made us feel at home. The beds were so comfortable, and the warm, inviting log family room, complete with a wood stove, became the heart of our evenings. It was the perfect place to gather after a day of exploring the stunning Green Mountains of Vermont. Speaking of exploration the proximity to Killington allowed us to enjoy a great lunch after a morning of hiking, and the scenic beauty of the area is truly breathtaking. The convenience of being about 20 min to town and fantastic restaurants made our stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the hot tub. After a long and invigorating hike, it provided the ideal way to relax and unwind. We took in the nearby Quechee Gorge, explored an antique market and a glass factory in the area adding a unique touch to our getaway. The attention to detail and hospitality of the Ski Farm were evident throughout our stay. From the well-equipped kitchen to the thoughtful amenities, every aspect of our accommodation contributed to a delightful experience. Ski Farm is a gem nestled in the hills of Vermont, offering a perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and relaxation. We highly recommend Ski Farm and can't wait to return for another dose of Vermont's magic.
We really liked the setup of the house it was a bit unusual in the setup and how things were put together. We use the outdoor fire pit a lot. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. Some good places to eat within 20 min drive. Lots of space for 5+ people staying there. My big issue was the mold in the house. I have breathing issues and we all need to the keep window open to make sure there was airflow. When we arrived it looks like the hot tub moisture had went through the entire house as every window had condensation and the hot tub smelled bad.
We enjoyed exploring the uniqueness of this old home that lists 1801 as original date on the old barn. Interior is comfy and kitchen well supplied. The architecture is a series of add-ons and pieces of a patch work quilt.
Nice cottage, but needs a thorough cleaning.
My husband and kids absolutely loved this house! It’s a big, charming, rabbit warren of a house with two stairways and tons of little nooks and crannies and rooms attached all higgledy piggledy. There was plenty of room for all seven of us — with room to spare! There is a lot to do in the house itself — it has lots of board games, pool table, table shuffleboard, knee hockey, you name it … The area is absolutely gorgeous! We visited Quechee gorge, Sugarbush Farm, the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller museum, the Little White Cottage snack bar, the Killarney pub, and the Skinny Pancake, and I would recommend all. Do know that the house is out of town and just about everywhere takes 30 minutes to drive. The house was clean, but the carpet and shower curtain are stained and really are ready to be replaced.
We had a lovely stay. Perfect location to explore all around VT. And in the evening, the kids had a blast challenging the grown ups to pool and other awesome games available at the house. Hot tub was a hit, too.
Our time at Skifarm was great. Very cozy cabin feel! The place was old but well kept nevertheless. Hot tub was a very nice amenity. Had planned on using the grill and fire pit but they weren’t dug out of the snow. This wasn’t a big deal, we found a shovel and dug them out, but it was slightly inconvenient. Overall, would definitely recommend :) great Vermont-y feel.
We loved our stay at Skifarm and would recommend it. It’s in a nice location surrounded by beautiful scenery with lots to do in the surrounding area. It’s an older home with all the character and charm that comes along with that. We found the living spaces warm and inviting, the game selection amazing (I definitely didn’t need to bring my own), and the kitchen well stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal. We give the bedding ten stars. It was perfect. There are a few things to be aware of. If you are a light sleeper, depending on which bedroom you’re in, traffic passing in front of the house could be an issue. There are also a couple of tiny (just a few inches) steps between rooms. For the average person they don’t signify, but if a person in your party has mobility issues you want to be aware of them.
This property was great for our family trip to Killington. The kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub was great for warming up after a day on the mountain.
This house and experience was everything we hoped for and more. The house was beautiful and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed all the rooms and spent our nice enjoying coziness of the fire place. We are so grateful to have spent some quality time together in this gorgeous place! We will certainly back.
