Woodstock, New York
One of our most in-demand rooms, this bright and airy Secret Garden suite located off the parlor on the ground floor, is equipped with two queen memory foam beds, making it ideal for nuclear families or friends vacationing as a group. Private bath with tub and shower.
Twin Gables was established as a Boutique Hotel in 1926, when artists Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Daibler purchased the 19th-century house at the height of Woodstock's first flowering as a center for creative people. It was an unprecedented time in Woodstock’s history— the beginning of the Byrdcliffe Arts Colony, which served as a Utopian artists’ community, attracting free-spirits and bohemians from around the world.
This charming Hotel has an established reputation as one of the most favored places to stay in Woodstock for nearly a century. Renowned for its relaxed, friendly atmosphere and charming ambiance, this Catskill Mountains’ inn, set in the stunning Hudson Valley, is in walking distance to most shops, galleries and restaurants of the Woodstock village.
All rooms, as well as the common parlor area for sitting and relaxing, are decorated with period furnishings and boast original art work from local and global artists. And, for the modern convenience of its guests, WiFi is available throughout the accommodations for those traveling with their mobile devices. Organic coffee, tea, and filtered water is available at all times at the coffee & tea station located off the parlor.
Twin Gables is devoted to minimizing its ecological footprint on the planet. Our amenities – soaps, shampoos, hair conditioners -- are completely natural, environmentally friendly and biodegradable – including the bottles themselves! We also minimize our water use and only use top-of-the-line natural cleaning products.
Visitors come from all over the world to explore this “most famous little town in the world” to experience its arts scene, enjoy its restaurants, attend events, and enjoy its charm and tranquility. And a stay at Twin Gables, the oldest guesthouse in Woodstock, is an integral and gratifying part of that experience.
Twin Gables is a lovely, charming getaway and Leann, the owner, is kind caring and accommodating to her guests. We had a wonderful weekend getaway and would definitely come back and recommend to friends!
Winter getaway perfection
Went skiing at a local mountain and needed a place to stay overnight. We were very pleased with the accommodations and will be back again.
Location of the BnB is perfect. It was very clean & all CDC rules were in place. We felt very safe staying there. Two things that we felt needed improvement are that the walls are very thin, so if you have an upstairs neighbor or a neighbor next to you, it can be very loud. Secondly, for our personal taste, the beds were too soft because you rolled to the middle.
Short family getaway over spring break. Looking to escape to an interesting boutique hotel located in a small town with great food, cute shops, and nature- and this is exactly what we got!
My sister and I loved our weekend stay in the Garden Suite. The staff was kind and welcoming. Very clean and appreciated the thoughtful touches on the décor. We really felt comfortable, cozy and at home during our stay. The breakfast provided was great and the perfect way to start each morning, and also appreciated the 24/7 coffee & tea station conveniently located outside of our room. Also cannot beat the location, was so easy to walk to everything. Will definitely stay again.
We stayed at Twin Gables for a short overnight stay in Woodstock. We wanted to be close to town and were attracted by the photos and the great review.
LeAnn was the perfect host - she was present and absent at all the right times. The Inn was remodeled recently and it is funky, warm and relaxing.
Location is great. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room (#10) we had was larger than anticipated. Loved all the interesting funky fun decor. Appreciated the little coffee/drink area. The common area by the fireplace was so lovely especially the warm fireplace. We got a bottle of wine and sat by the fireplace.
Family getaway with kids. Had a fabulous time and very much enjoyed the stay along with exploring some of the restaurants and biking
My son and I stayed in the Garden room which was beautiful. We were touring colleges within an hour's drive of Woodstock, and Twin Gables was a terrific place to come back to after hiking around campuses. The common living room with fireplace was super comfortable for curling up with a book or afternoon tea, the location was near everything in Woodstock (highly recommend Silvia, Dixon's Roadside and Yummy Noodles for great food), the beds and bathroom were great.
My daughter and I were in Woodstock for her birthday and were fortunate enough to book a room at the Twin Gables. From the minute we walked in the door, we knew it was going to be special. Comfortable, clean, fabulous decor, yummy breakfasts, friendly guests and the most wonderful Innkeeper ever. We will be talking about our evening around the fire, the fun conversations and the magic that is Woodstock for a long time to come! Thank you LeAnn and thank you Twin Gables Inn!
Upon entering Twin Gables I was delighted to see the unique and artful designs in every nook and cranny of the building. It was such a lovely place to stay at, and it felt like a home away from home. Definitely the best looking and cleanest place to spend a quiet weekend away in a quaint town. It was clear from the beginning that the owners of the property took a lot of care and pride in the overall presentation. So much love and energy was put into every detail. Just lovely!
Charming, centrally-located accommodation in Woodstock. The staff were beyond accommodating of our family-even entertaining our two children! It was very clean and homey and we would certainly book again.
The host was very friendly.
Ideal location, the staff is so kind and helpful, breakfast is fantastic, rooms were beautiful and clean, comfortable beds and communal spaces. I would absolutely stay here again!
From the moment we walked through the gorgeous painted door adorned with massive peace sign wreath, we were welcomed with friendly staff and a beautiful space. A warm fire greeted us and a chess set waited for players. My children and I stayed in room 10, on the first floor and it was plenty of room for us, with a great doorway/vestibule area to keep boots away from the bedroom. Highly recommend for location in town, easy to walk to shops and sights. Im sure we'll return.
We loved our stay in Woodstock! The host was fantastic, provided everything you could need (and more), and made us feel so welcomed and at home. Would recommend!
