This was a comfortable place in the country side very conveniently located between sisters and bend. Stayed in December so weren’t able to take advantage of the pool or tennis court but the hot tub was lovely. Comfy beds and lots of wood for the wood stove which was a cozy way to heat the house. Otherwise the little wall heaters need to be used which are a bit noisy. The only improvements I can suggest are to have a lock box with the key on the door so we don’t have to communicate about time of arrival or departure, and a tv/sound bar remote that is more user friendly. Overall a pleasant stay. We will be back!
Enjoyed our stay. Celebrated our anniversary by doing some Christmas shopping/eating in downtown Bend. Wanted a place to stay that would be quiet and this was just the place. The wood burning stove gave the cozy feels I was hoping for during this time of year along with a Christmas tree all lit up and decorated.
We had the best time staying in the adorable guest house. Beautiful secluded location, views of trees and pastures. Horses, cows, chickens, owls, deer oh my! Everything was perfect and the two best things, the hot tub and wood stove.
Had a fun conversation with a horse on the way out. Unfortunately the pool was closed for the season, but we played a little tennis on the very nice court.
Such a lovely, relaxing place to unwind
It's like staying at your own private country club - tennis court and 2 lane LONG swimming pool...along with hot tub, adirondack chairs overlooking the beautifully landscaped yard and neighboring cows - enjoyed cocktail hour each night doing just that. And the inside is equally as wonderful - fully equipped kitchen (complete with delicious scones, eggs from their hens, and yogurt from Trader Joes; this was intended for our first breakfast, but this treat basket covered all three mornings we were there), wonderful plate glass windows overlooking patio, tennis court, and yard, comfortable bedrooms, baths and washer/dryer (a detail most appreciated as we were traversing Oregon for 14 days). Tracy, the owner, is delightful, greets you in person, and explains how to use the hot tub and uncover the pool; throughout the rental, Tracy answers all questions/concerns promptly. Sweetums is a favorite from the many VRBOs we have rented over the last 2 decades! A bucolic, relaxing stay, just minutes from Bend and Sisters - perfect for visiting the many sites up Route 97, as well as the McKenzie Pass-Santiam Pass Scenic Byway. We couldn't imagine a more idyllic place to enjoy our 50th wedding anniversary. Hoping to return for a longer stay to celebrate my 75th birthday in two years! Thank you, Tracy!
Beautiful property with nice accommodations. We enjoyed are stay there very much and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you.
We had a wonderful low key stay at the Sweetums ranch guest house, the property ground is beautiful, the location is ideal to experience Bend being just outside of the city for a quiet country feel yet it’s about 15 minutes to town. Tracy and Bill are very welcoming and responsive. The guest house was clean, comfortable, wonderful pool, tennis course was a bonus. We love the birds and the ranch animals. We would love to come back when we are in Bend the next time. Thanks.
You will want to return many, many times! Accommodations, setting, location to Bend and all it has to offer - just the best! Many thanks Tracy and Bill - for all you do for your lucky, lucky guests!
Very clean cabin
My wife and I had a nice quiet relaxing stay here at the guesthouse on this 20 acre farm. It was very quiet and peaceful. We stayed 3 nights but it would have been nicer to stay longer. Sisters and bend are a short drive, and there are plenty of hiking trails and good places to eat. The host brought us yogurts and some delicious berry scones for the first morning. Great hosts!
We loved this property. Very pretty surroundings with easy access to Sisters, Tumalo, Redmond, and Bend. The house was cute, well put together, had everything we needed. The owners were very nice and maintained our privacy. It was fun to see the animals on the property and get the occasional visit from one of their very sweet dogs (made me smile every time!). We would definitely go back.
The property is beautiful and the hosts were amazing!
Location was just as described. Hottub was clean and hot, wildlife(birds and a bunny) were a pleasant surprise too
Great place, great location, great dogs, great everything!
It's hard to put in a few short words how special this place is! It was the perfect choice for our annual girls weekend. It was just the right amount of space for our group of four women, and had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend of total relaxation. The hot tub and pool are just as amazing as the pictures. We had a blast hanging out by the pool in lounge chairs and on pool floaties. My favorite part was all the animals! We visited the horses every day with apples and carrots. Sitting in the hot tub watching the cows graze just beyond the fence was a trip. And of course, the owner's two sweet labradoodles were always welcome visitors to the guest house. Probably the most uttered phrase of the weekend: I can't believe this place is real. I absolutely will be back, I can't wait to come here again and again! Thank you Sweetums!
We absolutely loved this property. I could go on and on and on about all the things we loved. Our favorite things were the comfort of the home, the incredible swimming pool, the peacefulness, the relaxing and refreshing views and the location. It is so peaceful yet so close to so many things. Tumalo is less than 5 mins away, sisters is close too. It’s just perfect. We swam a lot, floated the river, fed the horses on property, enjoyed watching the chickens, went shopping, enjoyed sitting on the porch reading and watching the sunsets. We cannot wait to go back. Thank you Sweetums Ranch for such a perfect place to stay.
This home is exactly as pictured but impossible to capture in photos. My sister and I spent our week taking in the serene surroundings, perfect accommodations (well appointed guest house), afternoons / sunset at the pool, walks to visit the horses and chickens. Perfect spot for creative retreat. Hosts Tracy and Bill absolutely wonderful. See you next year - thank you!
The house is really awesome, and the property is beautiful. The house has good proximity to a lot of the local hiking and Mt Bachelor. The hosts communicated very well, and were very friendly on the rare occasion we had a chance to see them around the property. We hated to leave and would love to come back in the summer as the property would be amazing during that time of year.
