Stayed Nov 23, 2020Worst stay ever. Our biggest regret of our vacation was booking this place. First of all, it was not clean, there was literally hair in the drawer with the eating utensils. And the towels had the most terrible odor, like so gross. And the location is TERRIBLE. It’s the most rainy area on the island, poured down the entire time. Rained so hard they closed the Hanalei bridge which means you’re stranded. We missed our luau because we were stuck on that side bored out of our minds in the pouring rain. Due to the rain we never got to enjoy the pool either. Also it’s not as advertised, there wasn’t any fruit to pick...We were wishing we had just stayed on the south side the entire time, we had a great time there, better weather, and most of the activities are located there. If you really want north side maybe princeville area just make sure you’re on the other side of the bridge. Waniha is a terrible terrible place to stay. We actually checked out a little early to a hotel on south side for a good last day when the bridge opened. Such a waste of our last few days just sitting at home in the rain & flash flooding :(

Stayed Jan 6, 2026My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon for a whole week. It is such a peaceful environment, and is very close to the beaches. It is in a more rural area of the island, so you can see the stars super clearly at night. Some people complained of the chickens making too much noise, but we didn’t find that to be a problem. The yard is super private, and you’re about 98% out of view of your neighbors.

Stayed Jun 13, 2024The place is perfect, we stayed here for a mini honeymoon and absolutely loved the place. Stunning and beautiful. Only issue we had is that to get the hot tub hot enough you have to turn on the jets and past a certain hour the neighbor will come over and kindly ask you to turn it off. If you could heat it without the jet sounds ?

Stayed Jan 30, 2024Jeffrey gave the wrong address on the check in instructions so we got off to a bad start. Although surrounded by dense jungle, the neighbors are actually extremely close and can be easily heard. A dog unexpectedly spent the day at the cottage, blocking the front door. The pool and spa did not look appealing at all. Overall, the cottage is quite rustic but has all the amenities you would likely need. The fridge is small and missing shelves but functioning. The view from the deck is surreal and a pleasant place to sit and sip cocktails. The nearby beaches were great as was the close proximity to fabulous hikes. We appreciated Jeffrey's detailed recommendations.

Stayed Feb 5, 2024Jeffrey's Hale Wainiha was the perfect home base for us to explore the North Coast and is a cozy, comfortable hideaway tucked back in the hills of the Wainiha Valley. The house is modernly appointed and has everything you need - a stocked kitchen, gas bbq, pool, hot tub, outdoor tables and loungers, plus gear to enjoy the beach. All you need is a car and you're set. We bought fresh fish in Hanalei at the Dolphin and fresh veggies and fruit from the farmers market and cooked most meals at the house. Jeffrey also provides an extensive list of dining and adventure options that you'll want to research before you leave so you can take advantage of them all. The views from the house and decks are astonishingly beautiful. You'll feel like you're a million miles away from everything, but it's only a quick trip over the quaint single-lane bridges into Hanalei for shops, restaurants, and a fabulous farmers' market. The house also puts you in easy driving of some of the most beautiful beaches on the island, not to mention Ha'ena Park and the not-to-be-missed hike to the beach and waterfall. Thank you, Jeffrey, for sharing your incredible Hale Wainiha with us - we had a delightful time and hope to come staty again in the future.

Stayed Jan 12, 2024Easily the best property we've ever stayed at. Not only is the exterior breathtaking, the interior is super spacious & modernly updated. Only advice I'd give is to try & arrive before the sun goes down, as the drive in can be tough in the dark. Highly recommend for a couple's getaway.
