The Neighborhood:

Red Lodge, nestled in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking for family fun, a place to touch the wild, or just a chance to let your hair down. Whether you are wearing Birkenstocks or cowboy boots, you will find something to do here. (Although downtown is paved and we even have sidewalks, Jimmy Choos are probably not a great idea!)

In winter the road ends here. Downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding and sleigh riding are just the short list of activities that you can do when visiting us.

In summer we revel in the Beartooth Pass opening. We are only 68 miles from Yellowstone Park, but plan on a good two hours` drive as the “Pass” is stunning in high mountain vistas, rocky cliffs, and jeweled lakes. The Custer National Forest is a haven for wildlife including elk, moose, mountain goats, big horn sheep, bears (black and grizzly), mountain lions and wolves. Golden marmots are often seen dashing across the trails. Golden and bald eagles often visit our area, as well as sandhill cranes and blue herons.

Red Lodge does not have a commercial airport. Guest(s) can fly to area airports and drive to destination. Red Lodge, Montana is a rural community that does offer internet and cell service throughout most geographic areas but, some locations are completely void of any internet or cell service. In town and within a 3-5 mile radius of downtown you will enjoy solid cell signal but during times when our population increases due to events, celebration (such as the Fourth of July), or emergency situations such as a wildfire you will notice that these online and cellular services slow down and sometimes, they can slow down to the point where you have to wait to place a call. We can’t do anything to help in these situations, so we encourage people to enjoy the freedom of being “unplugged” and to be patient.

Interaction with Guests:

Guest will receive emails prior to arrival date with directions and lock box code and pre-stay information.

Great place to return to after a day of skiing! This rental had space for nine of us. The hot tub was enjoyed each day after skiing.

The property photos can’t do the property justice. This is a beautiful and peaceful home away from home. 10/10 recommend.

We loved this property. Three families stayed here for ski trip with plenty of room. Love the king bedrooms and the bunk/kid cave for the kids. Hot tub and deck were beautiful. Extra extra towels were so nice. The large table was great for meals and game playing. Location is perfect and walking distance to downtown. Will definitely stay again!

The townhouse was very well appointed with all of the necessary amenities. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the house. I particularly liked that lights had been left on for us since we arrived in the dark. Highly recommend this rental!

Despite the stormy, chilly weather in the Beartooths, I got in my annual visit to my families cemetery plots in Rockvale and Bridget, a restorative hike and even took a ride in a 1936 Yellowstone Park Bus with my friends over at the Buses of Yellowstone Preservation Trust ❤️
