Sebastian, Florida
Pelican Landing is 1 of 4 luxury, completely private, residences that sit on a 1.7 acre resort style property. The acreage is beautiful with 3 docks, (great for boats and fishing) mature oaks, and stunning river views.
This home is a 968 sq' Newley remolded house (Name - Pelican Landing), it contains 2 bedrooms / 2 baths. The property is a hidden treasure with mature oaks, 3 semi-private boat docks and shared only by our guests.
The Master Suit - King sized bed, Newley remolded shower, nicely decorated private bath with rain-down shower and multiple heads.
Bedroom 2 - Two Twin beds, accesses the main bath that has been newly remolded.
Sleeper Sofa- Queen size bed in the main living space.
The property is located immediately adjacent to the Florida East Coast Railway. There is potential for noise all hours of the day and night. The average number of trains per day can vary greatly based on needs, however, we can speculate that 4-6 trains per 24 hours is about the average we see. Most trains pass in approximately 1-3 minutes. We have found that most guests find this to be little to no bother and many even enjoy the trains.

The house was very tastefully decorated comfortable and the owners made this little place with lots of thought and had quality products!! A few little suggestions, have lamps on each side of end tables in living room there wasn’t any. Maybe have small plates. The outside pads on furniture were very dirty from weather which don’t know how that can be controlled. The tv and internet was very difficult to get. Other than these few things beds were comfy, wonderful shower great overhead lighting!! It was a great stay except the house shaking of the freight trains while sleeping which other reviews had reported but wasn’t constant .. but overall loved the house!!
The home was the cleanest and most attractively decorated VRBO we've ever rented. It's small, but had everything we needed. Except a tea kettle. Luckily i carry one with me. Of course, the biggest downfall this property has, is its proximity to the railroad. It's close. The Brightline passenger line comes and goes by in about 5 seconds and it's not that loud. The fright trains are LOUD, shake the chair, bed, toilet, wherever your sitting on and last about 45 seconds. These trains go by all hours of the day and night. It only woke me up once in the early AM hours. We didn't hate the trains, but some people might. The outdoor furniture wasn't very nice, moldy and rusted, but didn't bother us much as it mostly rained the entire week we were there. ? The dock area would be wonderful for a fishing person. We did see dolphins very near the dock. Disappointed in the town of Sebastian as it wasn't very dog friendly. Even the community park down the street (Micco Park) prohibits dogs. Never heard of that in my life! Loved that this rental WAS dog friendly. Thank you. The combination given for the front door didn't work when we arrived and i had to call for assistance. It was still sometimes hard to open, but we always managed. All in all we had a great stay. Thank you.
We had a good experience
Very clean & well appointed home with a great fenced yard & nice dock, easy access to inlet & fishing. The location next to the busy train tracks is the big drawback - not good for light sleepers as they run all night. A protective wall separation would help. Also there is bridge construction next door which is noisy during the day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was Just as described. The close proximity to the train tracks created some noise but it was minimal from the passing trains. The largest problem for us was the bridge construction. They appear to be nearing completion on the project, but the driving of the pylons created a quite a bit of noise that reduced our ability to enjoy the shaded backyard. We would absolutely stay here again. The only inconveniences we experienced were form the construction, the property itself was beautiful and very enjoyable.
Highly recommend; communication with the management company is top-notch, attentive, kind and helpful! Very comfortable home with all needed amenities; just bring your groceries and make yourself at home, while also enjoying the beautiful yard and dock area on the water. This property is close to a variety of activities - we rented a tandem kayak and enjoyed a leisurely paddle on the St. Sebastian River launched from Dale Wimbrow Park, and later went to Earth Fest. Another day we tiki hopped to listen to live music. Fabulous getway!
The location is perfect with a large fenced in area for pups, boat dock and beautiful yard. The bed swing under the oaks was the perfect place to relax. The house was extremely clean, nicely renovated and had everything we needed. It is also close to good restaurants(Chubby Mullet was a fav) and fishing holes. Craig was an excellent property manager. He was very professional and willing to give advice about the area. We would definitely return!
No need to look any further! Book this home, you won't want to leave!! My husband and I stayed here as a weekend getaway & can't wait to book again! I wish we could've stayed longer! Everything in the home is brand new and there was such attention to detail when the home was done. The home is stocked with everything you could need and then some. The water views are unbelievable and the large back yard is so peaceful and serene. The home was spacious & has a well stocked kitchen. The home was spotless & the cleanest property I've stayed at. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and tv's in each room were perfect to wind down at night. The communication with the property manager was very helpful and prompt. There was plenty of room for our two cars and boat. 5 STAR property easily!!
Great find at the last minute .. great price for a river side cabin ... had teen and little kids there and everyone enjoyed the docks and sunset. Clean and friendly manager ... will come again.
