Stayed Dec 11, 2025Yes the host was welcoming, amenities that stood out were the lighted fishing pier, ice maker, bait livewell, shop freezer , bathroom downstairs, patio chairs and parking area.

Stayed Mar 12, 2025We chose this one because of the dock and boat lift. We got so much more. The deck, dock and outdoor living spaces were over the top. Very nice and comfortable outdoor furniture. Great fishing amenities and walking distance to bait shop and launch. Ample parking, even with a boat trailer. Five stars.

Stayed Feb 14, 2025My husband and I enjoy taking our grandchildren to Matagorda and this is our favorite house to stay in. It fits our group of 6 perfectly and meets all our needs for an amazing vacation. We all enjoy the proximity of the beach and fishing off the pier in the evenings.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We always enjoy our stay at the Howdy House! It is perfect for our family and fully meets or exceeds all of our expectations. My grandkids love to catch fish off the dock in the evenings and it is a short trip to the sunny beach. The Howdy House is always clean and inviting. We have several more stays at this property scheduled this summer and are truly looking forward to our upcoming visits!
