Villa Hills, Kentucky
Welcome to the newly-remodeled River House! This immaculate house on 2 acres of riverfront property comfortably sleeps 18 and is located next to a state-protected bird sanctuary with a private sandy beach! Enjoy sunsets by the firepit, walks through the woods, and entertainment in the rustic barn with a half-pipe, ping pong table, and stage. Only 28 min to Perfect North Slopes, 12 min to downtown, and 10 min to CVG airport. Get away from it all while being just minutes from downtown Cincinnati!
Good location for visiting Creation Museum and Ark.
Everything was as sold and looked as good as the pictures and description! Donna was communicative and willing to accomodate us early as well! She also offered good suggestions on places to eat and things to do. Had a weekend plan with friends in Cincinnati and this was the perfect place within a 15 minute drive for it. Would absolutely reccommend for anyone travelling to the area.
We had a great weekend here! The pictures don’t do it justice. Watching all the boats go by down the river was a real treat. Lots of outdoor space for activities. The house itself is a gem: clean, spacious and accommodating. The kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of room to socialize, both inside and on the huge wraparound porch. We loved being so close to Cincinnati, and don’t skip a visit to Ludlow! Overall, top notch property. Would love to stay here again!
We had 8 adults and 7 children who enjoyed 5 days in this fabulous spot. The kitchen is well stocked, the sleeping arrangements are excellent, and the location was perfect! The bathrooms were perfect - far beyond our expectations, with plenty of towels and huge showers. The bunk bed room was perfect for our group of kids from 4 yrs of age to 15. That room has its own bathroom with a large shower. We really have no suggestions for improvements. Plenty of lawn for the kids to enjoy, and the firepit was enjoyed, too! Our favorite extra was the heavy traffic on the river - lots of huge barges to watch, which everyone enjoyed.
Really nice , clean place. Family enjoyed every moment
The house was very modern and clean. Everything was available in the house that we needed for meals and sleeping. It was nice being beside the Ohio River, too.
The place was perfect for our Youth Group of 11. We really appreciated the extra table and chairs so that our whole group could eat together and the outdoor seating around the fire pit. We really enjoyed all the different areas to spread out outside. It was perfectly located to visit the Creation Museum, Ark Encounter, and Kings Island. Another plus was there was plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Donna was also great and very responsive
Here in Kentucky for a ladies conference, the house was just right for our group of 16. Very clean and comfortable.
The cabin was pretty, but there was dog hair EVERYWHERE; on the sheets, floors, chairs, everything. It's listed as a cabin on river with a beach. Its on a working river boat port; definitely not a river to get in. Owner called me 2 minutes before check in to tell me to park near the road as snow plow couldn't plow the area. 16 of us had to load luggage up and down an ice/snow hilly area. The king bed is mattress only; no box springs. I feel like the cleaning fee I paid should be returned because it wasnt clean when we got there!!!
This river house was so easy to get to very close to the airport. Great location for visiting the Ark Encounter and the Creation museum. We enjoyed staying at the house and watching movies. Donna was a wonderful host and very responsive. Definitely would stay again.
Wonderfully renovated home tucked away on the river. Despite location, almost no airport noise and minimal train and barge noise (which the kids loved, and would race to the wraparound balcony to watch and wave at the barges). Easy access to downtown via Brent Spence and only a few minutes away from the Anderson Ferry. Easily accommodated our two families with seven children thanks to the massive bunkbed room (with its own bath). Great mattresses and wifi. One of the best rentals either of our families have ever stayed in. Will definitely be back in the summer to take advantage of the river and barn!
Stayed here with family/friends recently. We were just blown away- right next to the river- beautiful views, loved watching the barges pass by, inside is absolutely spotless/clean, all 3 bathrooms were in impeccable shape, owner was very responsive, would totally stay here again
Did our annual 4-day Family Reunion here, 15 people ages 17-88, including trips to Creation Museum (15 miles) & Ark Encounter (40 miles). Perfect location, beds for all of us, and only 5 miles from airport. Open floor plan, 3 baths hooray! with very large walk-in showers. Regretfully missed the outdoor perks (fire ring, ping pong table in barn, private beach) when weather turned cold in the 20s.
Place was super clean and perfect for our church group… thank you!
Everything was very clean and Donna was very kind and helpful. Great location and great place to stay. Thank you!
The river home is a great place to get away. The home is beautiful with an amazing view of the river. The barn was the ideal place for having some fun and the fireplace was a relaxing way to end the evening.
The house was absolutely darling, very well done. Perfect for a girls trip and close to all the fun things to do in Cincinnati/Northern KY.
Beautiful property, very clean!
We were a group of extended family that came together from several locations for a visit to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. The house is spacious, beds are comfortable and the location is really cool—definitely a place we would return to in the future. Things to be aware of: the steps up to the front door are a couple of stacked cinder blocks that are pretty unstable. The shared upstairs bathroom has a lovely, deep tub and removable shower head, but it faces a big uncovered window and there’s no shower curtain, so privacy is lacking and you really can’t shower in that bathroom. The two upstairs bedrooms have no dresser, closet bar or really any place to unpack and put your stuff. In the kitchen, there’s a Keurig for making coffee, but no drip coffee maker. There was a generous amount of K-cups provided, but we were a big group of coffee drinkers and would’ve made good use of a regular coffee pot. The drinking water is yellow in color so it’s a little unsettling when to have a glass full, and moreso when you draw a bath. The fridge filter doesn’t seem to make a difference in the color, however we didn’t notice the taste to be a problem. As a bonus, there’s a barn with ping pong table, but we didn’t find any balls or paddles. The porch is lovely, wrapping around half of the house. The river view is quite charming and there’s lots of interesting barge traffic to watch. (It doesn’t make a lot of noise and won’t disturb your sleep.) There’s a fire pit and a grill as well. Over all, it’s a great house in a great location.
