Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Once again, despite really hot weather, River Retreat was just that - a lovely respite for a late January holiday. The home is clean and tidy. The kitchen is well stocked with the physical items for cooking. The beds are comfortable and the water pressure divine. A small backyard space for those nights when you just want to sit out and enjoy a wine under the night skies.

Great place to stay, fantastic location and perfect for a holiday with our dog. Will definitely be booking again

Dining and lounge provided great relaxing area, with internet access and great TV viewing options.

Has an enclosed backyard for the dogs. 3 good sized bedrooms, with nice comfortable bedding. Caroline the property agent was extremely helpful. Recommend booking directly with Kalbarri Escapes/Contessi Real Eastate as cheaper tahn other sites

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house had comfortable beds, good linen and bedding. The shared bathroom worked for the 4 of us. There was generous seating for dining and lounge. The stove and oven worked well. Well stocked kitchen with crockery, glasses and cookware and baking needs also covered. It was close to the beach and we had a view if our car and neighbour's car were not parked in driveway. The house is dated and there are cracked tiles etc in laundry, good shower but tiles need to be refreshed. Some kitchen items were not cleaned well enough when we moved in. Overall a great place to stay and would stay again. We saw the skywalk and other gorges in the national park. Went on Sunset cruise, saw breaching whales. Husband fished 3 or 4 times but not enough for a feed. We shopped at IGA a lot, loved coffee and food at Red Bluff bakery cafe and enjoyed take-away from The Golden Wok.. Thank you, Barbara

Loved the property, the location is perfect, will be booking for all further Kalbarri holidays, highly recommend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The River Retreat is in an ideal location in Kalbarri. A short walk to popular restaurants, the beach and the pubs! The kitchen is well equipped - best I have seen! Definitely do BYO toilet paper/bin bags. Beds are comfy with clean sheets and good pillows. No aircons in the bedrooms, but closing most doors will allow cool airflow down into bedrooms. There is no backyard for kids to run in, just a little sitting area with a BBQ and clothesline, though the table and chairs are situated in a nice narrow garden space.

Reviewer Comments: Despite a faulty lock on the toilet door, a non-functioning extractor fan in the toilet and very poor lighting in most areas, the house was very well presented. I would suggest single beds provide for a much more flexible sleeping arrangement. In spite of this, I would book again.
