The Space:

With two bedrooms and a spacious loft featuring four queen beds, this home is ideal for family vacations or weekend getaways with friends, comfortably sleeping up to 13 guests. Outside, enjoy the sprawling backyard, private hot tub, and easy access to lake amenities.



To enhance your stay, we’ve included a stocked coffee bar, a kayak, SUP board, and water mat so you can explore the lake at your own pace. You’ll also have private access to a covered boat slip at the community dock, located just 0.25 miles from the home. Whether you’re seeking relaxation or adventure, Tucked Away on the Ridge offers everything you need for an unforgettable lake escape.



** IMPORTANT: Lake Access Disclosure: **

Our home sits right on beautiful Lake Barkley, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. However, please note that there is no traditional beach or cleared waterfront access directly on the property. While you may be able to wade into the water, lake access from the property is partial and can be impacted by weather—especially after storms, which often wash logs and natural debris onto the shoreline.



For swimming and easy water access, guests are welcome to use the community boat dock located within the neighborhood, just 0.25 miles away. It’s a perfect spot for swimming, launching a kayak, or simply relaxing by the lake.

• Age: All guests must be 18 with the exception of children with their parents.

• Weather: No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are outside our control. Please purchase travel insurance for coverage.

• Trash: As you check out, kindly ensure no trash or food is left outside the home—use only the designated cans.

• Pets: Pet-friendly stay – $200 for up to 2 dogs

• Check-In/Check-Out: Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability. Fees apply and vary depending on the requested time, with a starting fee of $60. We may not always be able to accommodate these requests—please message us in advance for details.

• Please bring your personal toiletries like toothpaste, deodorant, etc. A starter supply of the items listed above will be provided. Guests will provide their own supplies after depleting the starter supply of these items.

• We look forward to hosting all of our upcoming guests. Our cleaning team is going above and beyond to provide top-notch services, with special attention given to high-touch areas. We use commercial-grade antimicrobial agents and ensure that bed sheets and bath towels are professionally laundered between each guest stay.

• However, it's important to note that we cannot guarantee that our properties are 'completely sterile' or 'COVID-free,' just as no other business can reasonably make that claim. Guests are advised to travel and stay with us at their own discretion.

• We do not offer rescheduled stays or refunds for cancellations outside of Airbnb's extenuating circumstances policy. We strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance at the time of booking if you are concerned about the possibility of canceling your trip last minute. Travel insurance is affordable and provides excellent protection against unforeseen cancellations.

    Lovely setting and comfortable home. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Wished the hot tub got a bit hotter. A few basics missing, like coffee filters that would have been nice. But generally, great stay! Would go back!

    Wonderfully relaxing time at the LakeHouse cabin. Best birthday weekend!Amazingly beautiful views.Lots of space inside & out for everyone. Enjoyed seeing all the deer nearby, and the location was very serene.Lots of privacy. Beds were so incredibly soft & comfortable. Very clean. Lots of games provided, as well as fishing poles & marshmellow roasting sticks. The hot tub was clean, so relaxing, & spacious. There's a dock close by where my nephew caught a big catfish the first day that he fished. Also, enjoyed how we were able to bring our sweet family dog along. Check-in, check-out, and communications with the host all went very smoothly. We all immensely enjoyed our short relaxing family getaway, and expect to return soon. Thanks for hosting us!

    House has everything your could need, and the hot tub, game room with darts, bags, puzzle table and comfy couch are great. Decks are nice with plenty of seating and the grill was good. The only downside is there is no way to get into the water from the yard. It is covered in huge logs and brush in the water. To use the SUP or kayak, you have to carry it down to the dock .25 miles away. There was no paddle boat, and wouldn’t have mattered anyway because there is no way to get it into the water. The dock has a covered slip to bring your own boat with a decent boat ramp only 3 miles away. Also- note this is managed by a property rental place and they charge you directly for your 2nd payment (not charged by VRBO, but pay through 3rd party vendor).

    Very much enjoyed our stay. Quiet, out of the way, right in the lake. The layout was fantastic. Deer and turkey were on the property every day! Our kids enjoyed all the games in the house and the bunk loft up stairs. The porch was amazing and was nice to grill and unwind on each evening. The hot tub was an added plus. Would revisit. Communication was A, immediate responses to questions about the booking and cabin.

    Everything was as expected. We enjoyed the paddle boat and large floating raft when we rented a boat and jet ski. I wish there was a dock at the house. The wildlife is abundant with deer, birds and turkeys. If we go back I’d bring more groceries because restaurants are few .
