Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina
The home has four floors of open flowing space in which to relax and enjoy beach living with your family. We just landscaped the entire back yard for family entertainment. Three hole Putting Green, corn-hole and outdoor cooking is ready for you.
Our home is well cleaned and CDC compliant.
During the Summer -June July and August, we do Saturday to Saturday weekly rentals. Linens and five sets of towels are provided during weekly summer rentals.
Other times of the year can be two or more night rentals and you would bring your own linens and towels. (Angie's Linens does rentals.)
The well equipped kitchen has Mission cabinets, a generous center island and granite counter tops. Large kitchen table can seat TEN and the island seats another THREE at counter island stools. There is an under counter second ice maker, SS Microwave, toaster oven, blender, wine glasses and all amenities for your family and friends.
The kitchen overlooks the two story great room with twenty feet of spacious picture windows facing westward over the back deck, and the canal waterway.
One of our favorite times on the deck is first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee, or towards dinner time with appetizers and a glass of wine - talking about your laid back day spent on the white sands at the beach, or round of golf, tennis pickleball, or fishing.
The Great room has a 65 inch Sony TV streaming YouTube TV with wireless internet for your convenience. Our internet service is Spectrum. DVD player is available and connected to the TV. There are TVs in two other bedrooms.
Convenient beach access with showers is just a short walk away - approximately 400 yards. Additionally, car and golf cart parking is available is desired or necessary. (Travelers can rent a golf cart on the island if desired).
There are many options for runners, and walkers while at OIB with sidewalks galore and natural walkways several miles long located on the East end inland. From our home, my favorite run is to take a Left on Second street, headed east then all the way down to the end of the island, turning toward the inter coastal and running to the gazebo. That is 2.2 miles. Then bring it back... If you run the 'point to point Island Run' from our driveway to the East end, then go all the way to the west end and back to our home, this is a 11 mile route.
Ocean Isle Recreation Park AND TENNIS is on Georgetown Road:
One mile north of the bridge. Turn there and go 1 mile for 8 hard surface tennis courts with windscreens and water there.
PICKLEBALL: OIB is all in and has six nice permanent pickleball courts just behind the tennis courts .
Nice children's play area as well.: Brunswick County has more than 40 courses and this is before you get to the Myrtle Beach area. Our favorites are The Thistle, Panther's Run, Lions Paw, Carolina National GC, Crow Creek, Farmstead, Cape Fear National, the Pearl West, Sandpiper.
There are several fishing charters at Ocean Isle Beach for both inland (intracoastal inland) fishing or off shore fishing. Or bring your boat with you. the dock will accommodate a boat up to 28 feet.
We rented this home for a week long family vacation with 7 adults, 1 teen, 1 kid and 1 baby. Everyone fit and the house worked well for our group! We loved the walkability of the location and being on the canal. The kitchen was well stocked and everything felt clean! The ONLY thing I would say a word of caution on would be all the stairs. I could kind of see them in photos but this was very difficult with an 11 month old baby as there was no way to block off the stairs and she’s in a crawling phase. I imagine this would be difficult for elders and kids who aren’t confident on stairs yet. Otherwise, we loved everything about this home and would recommend it!!

This home was exactly what we were looking for. It was very well maintain and provided plenty of room for the 8 of us. It was only a short trip to the beach where we spent many hours. At the home, the dock on the canal allowed for several evenings of relaxation, fishing, and swimming. I would absolutley recommend anyone staying here. The check in/check out process was to easy to be real and the host was very responsive with the few minor questions we had. We would 100% consider staying here again !!!
Our first trip to OIB and the Goffs made it seamless and very enjoyable. They are generous owners and have a very clean and well maintained home. We highly recommend staying here!
My 3 children, 4 grandsons and I thoroughly enjoyed our week in this comfortable home. The multi-levels made for more quiet. The bedroom size and configurations were all accommodating, along with the bathrooms. Walking to the beach access was manageable for my 5 y.o. grandson and for my 75 y.o. knees. We had fun fishing, kayaking and swimming from the dock. The only hard part of the trip was leaving. We strongly recommend 9 Scotland and the landlord.
Our family of 10 had a wonderful stay July 4th week. Preparation and check-in with the owner was seamless and well communicated. The house fit our needs perfectly. Parking was spacious for vehicles and golf cart (rented). Kids and adults loved being on the canal, utilizing our own kayaks and paddleboard, as well as swimming. Would recommend life jackets for swimming in canal - easy to tell when tide is appropriate for swimming. House was clean, well stocked and spacious. House was very quiet (no loud street noise and even room-to-room was quiet). We definitely plan to return. Beautiful home!
Relaxing canal front home
We really enjoyed our stay this past week! Excellent location :)
Home was in good shape, clean, and organized. Lots of stairs for seniors but knew in advance. Good neighborhood. Enjoyed our stay!
This property is very comfortable and well stocked, a great home for a family vacation. It is a short walk to the beach as well as to Drift coffee shop, OIB creamery, the park, museum and putt putt. The kids had so much fun swimming in the canal. The sunset in the distance was beautiful from the deck.
