This is the basement of a home and we have another vacation rental on the upstairs portion of this house that is completely separate. This space does have a shared laundry room, shared with the upstairs tenants. There are deadbolted doors keeping both areas private. We ask that late night and early morning noise be kept to a minimum
You will have complete access to the basement portion of this property, and will have a private entrance/exit. Check in is through a lockbox.
Please note that while this house has central air, guests in this unit will not have direct access to the thermostat. The temp is kept right around 70 and can be accessed remotely by the host. We do provide fans and heaters and vents can be closed and opened. thermostat requests can be sent directly to the host.
My wife and I toured Harpers Ferry. Had good time / luck with the weather. The property is clean and modern and the outdoor area (deck, fire pit) are very nice.
Location was clean, comfortable, and close to Harpers Ferry sights, breweries, and local food. Property is quiet and in a private wooded development community. We saw only trees and wildlife from the porch. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay again.
The property was as described. The basement has been nicely renovated with good flooring and furniture, a retro style refrigerator, a wine fridge (if you'll be there a few days). The fire pit was awesome, 2 logs burned for almost 3 hours, and the cicadas and other critters chirping in the woods was a welcome change from the concrete jungle, street lights, and constuction activity. the queen bed was softer than expected, so I slept on the couch for part of the night which was fine. its close to Harper's Ferry and Bolivar so you can get food before you check in and after check out. (we ate at Anvil and the Country Cafe... definitely recommend both).
Really nice studio, looks just like the pictures. Property manager was responsive but not at all overbearing, a lot of privacy, detailed instructions on check-in, operating the tech, check-out expectations, and recommended local spots. All in all a great experience
This was a very cute little place to stay. Had everything we needed. Only downfall really, was the bed was very soft and almost sunk in the middle. Also, there is very little insulation between top floor and basement- we could hear everything upstairs (talking, running around). We just kept the TV on and it seemed to drown it out. Wish we could have used the firepit but it was very windy. Overall, a cute little place that accommodated us with some R&R.
I love staying here, and the property manager, Josh is very responsive. I’ll be back again.
We had a great stay and enjoyed the local wineries
I was looking for a quiet get-away, and this place was perfect. I felt really lucky that no one else was renting the main house. What really made it the best was being able to communicate with the property owner. He was always very prompt and kind. I arrived at night and didn’t have internet to see the key code. When I called him, he called back immediately. It was chilly in the room and there was no thermostat, so I called him and once again, he quickly took care if it by turning up the heat remotely. The property is in a beautiful location and guests have everything they need right there. My only wish is that I wish check out was at 12 instead of 11. I wanted more time to be there and enjoy the place and the location without rushing off to get out.
Peaceful place really enjoyed the fire pit.
This was a nice stay tucked away from town in the woods. Town is about 12-15 min away. We liked how quiet the location was.
