This remodeled lakefront three story home will make your vacation extra special with swimming, fishing and boating off of your private dock! Three kayaks are available for you to leisurely view the pristine nature and wildlife around the beautiful Nantahala Lake. This home is conveniently located near the Lake’s End Marina and Grill, Bartram Trail, Murphy and Cherokee Casinos, downtown Andrews, Franklin, Wayah Bald and river rafting on Nantahala river. Sit on the deck with your family to drink coffee, play games and enjoy the ever-changing scenery.
This convenient but very private lake home sleeps six upstairs. The addition of the ground level studio with loft adds 1 additional sleeping space for seven total. Two bedrooms are in the main part of the house on the second level. One queen bed is in the master and one full bed and queen are in the second bedroom. A fold away cot is also stored in the second bedroom closet. A full bathroom is located on the second level. An open concept den, dining area and kitchen are on the first level. The laundry room and half bath are off of kitchen on the first level. The lower level of the house is accessed through a separate entrance and contains a lounging area with satellite tv, half bath, kitchenette and loft sleeping area (twin bed).
Walk to the bottom of the driveway then across Wayah road to your private 8x10’ dock, swim ladder and kayaks! The lake levels are controlled by Duke Power and begin dropping at the beginning of fall. The dock will eventually rest on the sandy surface in mid to late November. Unfortunately residents of lake Nantahala have no control in this matter. You can still enjoy fishing off the dock and deploy kayaks for water fun and beautiful views.
Rent a boat or jet ski at Lake’s End (1/2 mile drive) to explore the many coves and swimming areas. Go river rafting in Bryson City on the Nantahala River for more water fun!
This place is a true gem. Private, relaxed, peaceful…in a word….perfect! I can’t wait to stay here the next time.
Cabin location was just right for our family. Views were beautiful and kitchen was equipped with everything. Couldn’t get the fireplace to work but everything else was wonderful! Highly recommend.
What a nice spot to disconnect and get away. Great views all through GSMNP and Nantahala National Forest. We luckily timed the peak fall colors perfectly. Cold in the mountains this time of year, but despite the crisp weather we still had a great time.
The cabin has a warm and cozy feel with a great porch for enjoying the elevated views over the lake. Very close to the Lake's End Cafe and Marina. Crossing Wayah Rd to the dock is not a problem as traffic is always minimal. Had a great stay
Almost don’t want to let others know so I can keep dates open for myself! Awesome property, cozy- decorated nice ( not just odds and ends thrown in there) master bedroom bed is SO comfortable. Easy access to kayaks and dock although you do have to walk down stairs ( maybe not ideal for some) . The dock is so peaceful and really the pictures don’t depict the calmness that you feel when sitting out there. We even sat out in a rain shower just to really be able to enjoy the serenity. Hosts were very accommodating and easy to communicate with ( even for minor questions) …. We will definitely be back.
We had a great time! Check in/out was on easy and everything was as pictured on VRBO. The Lake house and dock was perfect for our family of four and the views of Lake Nantahala from the house and deck were amazing. Boating on the lake gave us the opportunity to explore and appreciate how beautiful the entire area really is. The home was recently updated and has a beautiful new kitchen and appliances even 2 coffee makers. Most nights we grilled on the deck and enjoyed the sunset views on the dock. The home had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you to our host, Chris, we had a WONDERFUL time!!
A great place to beat the summer heat! We enjoyed our stay at this house. Location to the lake was great.. We got in the lake everyday. Cooked all our meals in the kitchen and my kids even made me a birthday cake from scratch! Spent a day visiting Murphy and Franklin. River walk in Murphy was worth the trip. Went to Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest too, this was a nice day trip. I would say the stairs were kind of steep going up to the house, you cannot tell this from the pictures , upstairs in the house and down to the dock. I had considered bringing my dad who is in his 70’s and was glad it did not workout he would have had trouble with these. We were fine with them but just a note of caution. Also the loft and basement room I thought were accessible from inside the house as well as had its own entrance but it is only accessible from its own entrance door from outside the house. I private area for an extra guest but we though one of our kids could stay here but we’re not comfortable with them not having direct access to the interior of the house with our having to go outside and upstairs to the deck then in the main entrance. Would be great for privacy if you had extra person with you that wanted that.
The view of the lake was amazing. The house was perfect for us. The kitchen was fully stocked and the house was clean. Best vacation!
We absolutely loved every minute of our stay here. The cabin was so warm, inviting and comfortable. Super convenient for day trips to nearby towns and hikes. Would definitely stay here again! Chris was easy to communicate with and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. Very responsive host!
We had a great time. View is amazing and having access to kayaks is an added bonus. Great place to stay if you’re looking for a quiet place on the lake.
