We are happy to answer any questions you might have.
My four sisters and I had our first sisters retreat and we could not have picked a better place! The home is so nice and inviting! It was like walking into a beautiful home with all the amenities you could want! The location on the lake is beautiful and so serene! We plan to go next year! Our ages range from 52-76.
Location is perfectly settled on the tip of a peninsula on Lake DeSoto. Access from the West Gate was quick to get to this property. Would definitely come back.
The lake location of this property can’t be beat. The views from the house are great. We have stayed in dozens of rentals on Lake Desoto over the past 25 years and the house itself is average and met our needs. The exterior lakeside decking and lakeside grounds need immediate attention to be safe and enjoyable due to extensive rotting, water damage and unmaintained landscaping which the listing did not show as it is currently. This is the reason for the overall rating not to be higher as each of these impact your ability to fully enjoy the property being lakefront. The dock worked great and made for easy overnight storage of our boat. Overall, I would definitely stay at this property again if the decking and the lakeside grounds are improved.
Good
Remarkable lakeside view and access. The home has a nice layout and flow. All rooms and areas are easily accessible while also providing privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils items, etc. Room for improvement: the exterior of the home, particularly on the lakeside has a not insignificant amount of deferred maintenance including rot and water damage (e.g., windows and deck) which guests commented on and which detracted from the stay. Dirt and spiderwebs on the windows, particularly on the lakeside, obscured views of the lake, which was disappointing. Overall a good stay, and I would consider renting here again.
The Home was located in a quiet neighborhood with amazing views of the lake, even better was the sunrise in the mornings, which provided a spectacular view of mist over the water with a rising Sun.
Fantastic views of lake and scenic foliage in the background. We really enjoyed looking out at the smoke on the water with ducks and geese in the background. The home was close to accurate as presented on line. We would, definitely, stay again.
