Relaxing on the countryside, yet central location

Casa Luar was a superb location for our family holiday away from it all. Nestled in the foothills of the Serra de Monchique, it is far away from the bustle of the Algarve seaside, yet close enough to get there for an afternoon's bathing. The property is light and spacious and very well equipped, with verandas and covered outdoor dining.

In our search for a nice and comfortable place to stay in the Algarve, we found this gem. No Ikea furnishing, but a lived-in interior, equipped with everything you need during a holiday. The place itself is more or less remote, away from all the tourism, the real Portugal.... You need a car for shopping and excursions, you return to an oasis of peace and nature, exactly what we were looking for. We liked the house and the location, although in the countryside it is quite central and all major Algarve sightseeing spots and beaches are easily accessible. A car is essential. You might need extra fans if the weather is too hot.

We loved our stay in this classic villa, there is a lot of outside space which we used to the max. Really enjoyed the BBQ and the pool, perfect for our three year old. Of course the setting is quite remote, takes 20 minutes by car to get to the beach, but this did not bother us since the house was so nice and the view was breathtaking. Really nice owners too, we had good communication for example about the umbrellas that did not fit. Cassandra arranged a new umbrella for us within a day and drove by herself to bring it to us. Would definitely recommend!

Super laid back vibe house close to the historic town of Silves. The house has everything needed for a relaxing time. Would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home has everything we needed. It is out in the country and has lovely outdoor spaces. The water went off and our wonderful host came right up and showed us the proper button to push as the breaker had just flipped on the pump. She also dropped by with some delicious grapes from her vines. We got a chance to meet our neighbor. She was wonderful. My computer got stolen in the Madrid airport and she let me use her computer to try to track it down. No luck with that but we got to meet a very kind and helpful person. I recommend this home away from home.

Supper communication with owner. Lovely bungalow with above ground pool enough to have a dip. Town nearby beautiful beaches and walks. Only 20 mins from racetrack so ideal for world superbikes. Well equipped home and the owners are nearby if you need them

Would highly recommend Casa Luar, we had a great stay...the house has everything you could need for a real home from home feel, very well equipped and well kept & clean. Great communication from the owner & we had one very small problem with the water & with one phone call the owner Cassandra was at the property within 30mins & problem solved... lovely views from the pool & plenty seating inside & outside. There is a large supermarket within 15min drive at Silves & we enjoyed the oranges we bought from the lady at the bottom of the road!! House is ideally placed, only an hours drive from Faro airport & plenty of places to visit within a short drive, lovely beaches etc.

We had a lovely time at this house very clean and welcoming. Had everything there that you required and more. We meet with Cassandra and she is very friendly and the house is a credit to them perfect place to relax. Rob,Teresa & Kayleigh
