Allow yourself to escape to this modern tri-level lodge (interior wood cottage décor) on the beautiful Inland Waterway of Michigan with room to play both indoors and out. Wildlife is so abundant on the river and the grounds, we guarantee at all times during day light hours you will see wildlife while enjoying the outside or through one of the large windows when inside the lodge. The lodge features a tri-level visual experience of the river.
Estate Description
The property has 1.5 irrigated acres of land, 200-feet of river frontage, one private dock with enough space to moor several watercraft, an outdoor fire pit, several picnic tables and many lounging chairs on the extensive decks.
The modern air conditioned lodge includes a game room with a bar and pool table, two large screen TV with cable, WiFi, fireplace, 2 refrigerators, 80lb per day commercial ice maker, washer and dryer, a fully stocked kitchen and enough sleeping for up to 12. The 4 bedroom, 3 full bath lodge, has an open floor plan containing a kitchen/dining/living room combination with a 24-foot cathedral ceiling. The lodge also has a large 2nd story wrap around deck featuring a propane grill, a lower river level patio and is perfect for your group, large or small.
Other Fun Stuff
• Bring your camera; whether on the water or relaxing from the deck, docks or patio, this is a photographer’s pleasure trip. Take in inspiring sunrises, sunsets and river views right from the lodge.
• Boating: The lodge is situated on the Inland Waterway, which is a 38 mile system that begins at the mouth of Lake Huron and continues down the Cheboygan River into Mullett Lake. At the south end of Mullett Lake, the Waterway then flows into the Indian River and on into Burt Lake and continues into the Crooked River before coming to an end at Crooked and Pickeral Lakes. If you choose to take the entire Inland Waterway roundtrip, it takes over 10 hours from the lodge by boat.
• Nature lovers and bird watching: The river provides a more intimate, up-close view of wildlife than a lake. The Cheboygan River Watershed is known for large migrations of birds and providing a natural habitat for their spring and fall migrations, nesting and natural activities throughout the summer. Deer, raccoon, mink, swans, Canadian geese, mallards, mergansers, gulls, wood ducks, herons, golden eyes, osprey, cormorants, golden and bald eagles and many other beautiful wildlife species call the waterway home.
The Cheboygan River Watershed is known for its large, deep, high quality, kettle lakes which support an array of fish and wildlife and serve as a core tourist attraction. Expansive wetland systems have formed where the large rivers filter into these lakes. These large marshes, such as the Indian River and Pigeon River Spreads provide critical spawning habitat for fish and nesting, foraging, and migration habitat for a wide range of birds.
• Fall colors: As the nights become cool in September and October, the spectacular color show begins. Check out the Pure Michigan website for recommended fall color tours.

We enjoyed a couples weekend with my siblings. The house was so nice and what a beautiful location. We would love to stay sometime in the summer. Beautiful views of black river. The downstairs area was very cold and the electric heater couldn’t handle keeping the temperature comfortable downstairs. However, when we were there it was like zero degrees outside so it was understandable. The house was clean and had everything you need in it.

We had a wonderful time staying here with family! It was the perfect location, the home was wonderfully equipped, and it suited a much needed family vacation. We couldn't have asked for a better place.Much fun was had by all from boating, bonfires, games, and pool! We especially loved the ice machine! We would definitely recommend this place to others.

The lodge was very clean and well stocked when we arrived. We cooked every day and never felt like there was something missing. The location is awesome. The commercial ice machine was a game changer, never had to run to the store to stock ice for coolers on the lake. Ray and Carrie are excellent hosts who were very quick to respond to any questions. We will definitely be back to The Lodge.

The Lodge is awesome - everything you need! We had 6 adults, three tens, and two under 5. It accommodated our family great with plenty of space. We also had a 20 ft surf boat and 23 ft tritoon we parked at the dock, which was no problem at all. Thanks again!

We had three generations stay at The Lodge....my husband and I, our three grown children and their spouses, and our two 7 month old grandbabies. We had a marvelous time at the Lodge. It was just perfect for our group...right down to the gliders to rock and feed the babies. The view of the river was so beautiful and relaxing. The new deck was not only attractive, but offered plenty of space and seats for reading outside, or just sipping morning coffee while enjoying the the view. Our son-in-law enjoyed fishing off the dock, and even brought his waders along and fished in the water, too!We enjoyed a bonfire each night in the fire pit. S'mores were made and devoured as we reflected on our activities of the day.The beds were all comfy, and each couple had plenty of privacy. The bathrooms were well stocked also. The kitchen was really the heart of the home, and everything we needed as far as appliances, pots and pans, utensils, and dishes were supplied. The nice large table served us well for meals to game playing. Our communication with the owners was easy peasy. Ray responded to us quickly when we had a question. They made check in super easy, too. Great owners to work with! We loved our stay, and would pick this property again in a heartbeat next time we come up North with our whole family.

Our large family group of 10 people booked this cabin on the lake. It was a nice and quiet area with water access. High ceilings and 3 floors gave us more than enough room for our whole party! There was plenty of potential things to do inside the house alone including pool table, games, tvs etc. o ly about 20 ish mins to the island ferry and shopping gave us a lovely home away from home.the owner was very attentive and actually helped out with a minor entrance question after hours. Would definitely rent this place again!

Awesome location for boating North to Lake Huron and South to Indian River, etc. Dock very good for leaving pontoon. House had a lot of space. Firepit was a great addition complete with firewood to use. Kitchen had a good amount of pots & pans, etc. Extra fridge and ice maker in basement was awesome! Wish we could have stayed longer!
