Relaxing Casa do Atlântico - Funchal

Great stay. Pedro allowed us to check in really early which was appreciated. Apartment had everything we needed and we were offered a change of towels ans sheets during our dtsy. Location was great, 10 min walk down to the Old Town where thete were numerous restaurants.

We liked to have our 'own place' in Madeira with a roofterrace(!) and a full equiped kitchen, so we can cook ourselves. It was a clean and nice place in the middle of the city

We loved our stay at Pedro's and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Pedro was a very friendly, helpful host. The apartment was very clean, with everything needed for a holiday stay. The roof terrace was ideal for lazy days and evening drinks. It is an easy walk into the centre of Funchal and the walk back is not a problem, but would recommend a taxi (4-5 euro) if retuning from supermarket. Thank you Pedro ?

We stayed at Iglesia Madre for one week in early May and enjoed it very much. The apartment and the bathroom are clean, the kitchen is well-equipped. But you will not spend that much time inside. Above the apartment there is a large terrace overlooking Funchal harbour and the cruise terminal (that includes a big parasol, table, chair and sundbeds. A perfect place to chill out and have a glass of wine or some snacks. The location is quiet, but close to the city. Walking down to the Mercado and the Pingo Doce (downhill) will take you no longer than 10 minutes. Coming back uphill is a different story, but there is bus stop in front of the house (line 32) and if you return from the supermarket, a taxi for 5 or 6 Euros is an affordable option. The communication with Pedro went smooth via Whatsapp - he also was very helpful and recommended serveral restautant. Iglesia Madre will be a first choice if we return to Funchal.

We had a lovely time at the accommodation it was clean and very well equipped with all that you need, there was a few condiments and tea, Coffee and sugar no milk, there was lots of leaflets in the apartment of places to visit, however the owner also gave us lots of tips and was very helpful, if you are healthy and fit I Would recommend this place, if you don't like walking up hills then this is not for you, you have a 15 minute walk uphill from the cable car 20 minutes from the farmers market and 30 minutes from the centre of Funchal, Would we visit again ? YES we would while we are still fit and able We are both touching our 60th Birthday and reasonably healthy and do a lot of walking at home So this was OK for us The sun terrace was very good all day as the sun comes up on the left and stays till it goes down in the evening We visited at Easter 2023

Pedro was very attentive. Apartment was excellent. Short walk to town, great bus service to get you back up the hill ? Will definitely return
